$200k for a player at the elite level who could be one major injury away from retirement doesn't really seem like that much to me. Moreover, that injury could come fairly early in their career and they could be on the scrap heap in their early 20's.

    Half, that was needlessly petulant

    Rugby World Cup 2023

Won't be watching any games live at those times

    Doping in Rugby

With no recourse for the accused. That's wrong IMHO

RWC23 - Pool B - SA, IRE, SCO, TON, ROM

Have a read of a comment thread after any match involving the Bokke. I will agree that many Bok fans I've met in person have been good company, which I can also say about most.

    Western Force 2024

That's a great pick up indeed.

Oh absolutely do the Saffer fans as a group simultaneously manage to be both insufferably arrogant and have chip on their shoulder. I hope they get knocked off on the basis of that alone (our Saffer mates here are the exception).

    RWC: Pool C - Wallabies v Georgia, SdF Sunday 10th September 2am

Strongest team in for Georgia (who are no mugs) and build some momentum and combinations.

I'd like to see someone knock the Saffers out. Makes the tournament easier for the rest of us!

RWC23 - Pool C - AUSTRALIA, Wal, Fiji, Georgia, Portugal

I think England v Argentina will be pretty tight and I reckon Cheik's mob can win. I'd love to see England out at the group stage.

    Rugby World Cup 2023

Don't disagree Pfitzy. We definitely need to broaden our player base at the elite level

The thing about England is that they are rubbish at the minute. Their attack is shit and appear to have no dynamism on the park at all. And yet. AND YET: they've traditionally played this bore people to death style that we find it hard to match up with. I hate it.

    France v Wallabies (RWC Warm-up), 28/8 1.45AM AEST

Exactly how I'm feeling. Should be an awesome tournament regardless of how we do and we've got some great youngsters.

    Doping in Rugby

Speaking of the Saffers, there are at least a couple of their blokes who I think look unnaturally shredded/big.

    Wallabies 2023

So we're 0-5 and going into a RWC in the worst shape I can remember in terms of results (I've seen every one since 1987). The rational person in me says we are absolutely no chance and will do well to get out of our group. That said, we're actually a better side now than we were after Loftus...

    Rugby World Cup 2023

Agreed Derp. It's astonishing how many international quality players we've produced, it's just that a lot of them ply their trade overseas.

Farrell would have put a good solid shoulder on him

I’d still say long odds on that Dismal
