Not sure his support play is as good as McRights but 'in Schmidt we trust'

Guys my ability to remember who plays tight or loose forced me to ask a question on RP and the writer kindly sent me a list, Here it is if any of you struggle as I do: Loosehead props: Bell, Slipper, Kailea, Hoopert, Hodgman, Schoupp, Lambert, Gibbon, Fa'agase, Pearce, Kaihea Tighthead props...

Interesting take, I'll be watching for that..

He'd be the last one in the forwards I'd give a rest to, he has strong energy and I didn't notice him slowing down much towards the end. I can only imagine is that he's starting Tizzano to give him game time and then bring on McRight.

I only copied what you wrote ie foul play, not the edited version.

I think this is the issue, foul play infers that it was done with malice aforethought, which I strongly disagree with. This is a head clash where the tackler lines himself up to take a tackle below the sternum and some nincompoop decides he could have changed the height of the tackle by assuming...

I thought winning 2 of the 4 would be a successful trip. I feel it's a bit like buying stocks and getting your money back plus profit and the rest are free running.

Didn't notice that, thanks for drawing attention to it.

I agree Ghost, I always imagined that McRight would be the captain but if Schmidt sticks with Wilson I have no issue with it. It is dependent on Wilson holding his spot of course.

Agree, Schmidt is looking for predictability in both team and game plans.

No it's not and never should be an option, the main reason we are going well is due to our pack giving the backs go forward ball.

Wilson is a strong target for the lineout and has been for some time. Skelton's lifting needs to be considered as part of the success last week and will have an impact this week. Uru coming on for Wilson will not weaken the lineout and I suspect Schmidt will start with Willaims assuming he is...

I note it is pretty cold and snowing in Scotland atm hope it warms up a bit before the game.

I'm replying to those who state Skelton will be on the bench, I disagree as do you. The idea offered by some posters was that we would have to put V to 8, Uru 6 (or some mix) to make the lineout work but I think with Williams starting the lineout will be fine. We could start Wilson, BobbV and...

Bring on Wilson and give Valetini a break around 50 assuming the game is going OK of course. Pulling Valetini early if we are struggling makes no sense, he has a big engine and will be up for next week's game.

I struggle to believe he will put Skelton on the bench v Scotland. I think the row will be Williams and Skelton with Frost LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) or just LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) if he wants to keep Williams, or as I believe more likely Skelton (as he's not available for Irish) on for 80.

Dru, Are you suggesting Uru to 6 Valetini to 8 and Wilson on the bench?

Very True and that issue reverberated through all levels of rugby. 'Just get it over with' was Eddie V1 thoughts on scrummaging as it only took up X% of a game. He ruined a generation of props and brought out all those mummies saying 'If you play prop or hooker you could die'.

Looked at a few of his articles but the latest is nearly a year ago, any particular one to look at? I'm interested.

Not sure we can afford to have Bell on for less than 60. Hope he is on light training this week as we are going to need him v Scotland which will be a big challenge.
