Interesting the lack of love for Rodda. He’s been superb all year. IMO even better then Arnold, and I agree Arnold was very good. He played very well against Ireland. If it goes the other way and Cheika goes with Arnold I won’t be gnashing teeth- the bloke is definitely in good form, but I...

Thanks Reg. Appreciate your efforts. I went looking myself, but you came up with more than I did. Reading the supposed pillars is a bit sobering.

Again - apologies for my ignorance in this Reg, but who exactly comprise the voting members? What determines membership? Also, do you know what action is required to trigger a board spill.

    Reds 2019

Can I ask a question and betray my nativity and ignorance - with the level of dissatisfaction with the current board, why hasn’t there been a move against the current board? There are most certainly more than enough good rugby people about with the skills/experience to challenge the existing...

Anthony Seibold is a great role model for any young coach starting out on how you develop experience and build your credentials before taking on a head coach role. Very nice bloke too.

Hodge is at risk of being shuffled around to the deferment of his overall development. I don’t say that in opposition to his selection. I’d be quite happy to see him given a crack there. But if he is, and he does well, which I think he could, I hope he gets plays there for the Rebs next year...

    Round 19 - Reds vs Sunwolves - Friday 13 July 2018

I do agree it is was unnecessary by Quirk and, in doing it, he created the situation which led him to being sent and, more broadly that most of these penalities and interruptions are initiated by a player doing the wrong thing.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

My take on injury cover/next cab off the rank - Ala'alatoa, Fainga'a (may well leapfrog Paenga-Amosa), Arnold & then Philip, Backrow is already pretty well covered, Gordon then Ruru, Hodge then absolutely NFI, Meakes at IC, TK in for Kerevi then Rona, Banks then Maddocks

    Round 19 - Reds vs Sunwolves - Friday 13 July 2018

I guess because far worse goes in continually in rugby games and goes completely unpunished. For example, players regularly get cleaned out off the ball, often blindsided. Pocock (and others - but he seems a priority target for teams) cops far more dangerous attacks at least half a dozen times...

    Reds 2018

I think it’s just one of those things you can’t generalise with. Some guys take a lot longer to get comfortable with a role of leadership or seniority, be that a confidence or a maturity issue. Some have a natural leadership about them much earlier, are more emotionally mature and take on a...

Isaac Lucas? Isn’t he playing 12. How good is Gordon? Are there other 10s who are missing out to these young guys who are potentially better? Not loaded questions in any way - I don’t get to see any Brisbane club rugby, so interested in people’s thoughts.

    The Rugby Championship 2018

So - what changes, if any, from the team who played the Irish. I assume TPN will come in, with BPA to slip out of the 23 & Latu keeping his spot on the bench. BPA may even miss the squad if Cheika goes with Fainga'a. TK in for Kerevi. I previously thought Rona would get the gig, but TK has...

    Round 19 - Waratahs v Brumbies

Agree with your player assessments above BR. We have a very nice selection headache brewing in our lock stocks (even allowing for our differing views of Simmons). Amazing what a difference 2 years can make. Banks really impresses me. I think DHP, Koriobete & Hodge locked down their test...

    Reds 2019

Genuinely interested Lou - do you know that personally or is it just your impression? I don’t know him personally at all and have no insight other than what I see or read, but that certainly wasn’t the impression I got. I can see in his play that he sometimes plays for himself, but by and...

??? Why in particular do you think we would be better off getting rid of Higgers?

    Reds 2018

I don’t think the dropping of Douglas to blood Blythe was necessarily well timed or that the communication to him or his family was, based on reports, handled as it should have been. Nor do I completely follow the switching of halves for this game. And I get the rational for wanting Sorovi to...

    Round 19 - Reds vs Sunwolves - Friday 13 July 2018

Now my dear Cyclo - I don’t dispute that ALL fans see it that way. I was merely pointing out that, in this case the opposition was the Reds. According to your earlier statement we should therefore see the refs decisions as being correct. However, we Reds fans, and even our coach, have joined the...

    Round 19 - Reds vs Sunwolves - Friday 13 July 2018

Yeah - although in this case I think almost across the board most Reds fans feel Quirk was very harshly treated and Timu dodged a bullet. I guess it just shows Queenslanders are the most balanced and fair minded supporters.
