    Reds 2018

I think they have - but their game tonight and there games against the Sunwolves and Rebels were on par with the worst they have dealt up. Certainly need a lot of improvement still with consistency.

A lot of the players are in trouble if you apply the same standards to them.

Ok - not sure why I had that impression. Clearly I was well off.

Surprised by the eagerness by some to ditch Timu. He’s been our best forward for mine. Personally I hope they are just resting him this week and we’ll see Tui move into the row with Rodda next week.

Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

I’m fine with all that Barb, but I still think it is essential to remove the one man lift. Rather than provide support to the man in the air, which is what a lifted is supposed to do, the one man lift puts the player in a more vulnerable position as it increases the likelihood they will end up...

It goes wrong often enough. It is inherently dangerous and a law suit waiting to happen. At a time when the law makers are acutely aware of their duty of care I’d be amazed it didn’t get changed in the next 2-4 years.

The problem with the NRC and how to fix it

I have no real knowledge of how these teams were structured/managed/run - but from an outsiders perspective I had got the impression that NSW Country had at least as much affiliation with ACT as they did with the Tahs. To me, that was perfect. ACT had two feeder teams & Waratahs had two - both...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Absolutely BH - that’s a fair comment based on their performances. I’m certainly not expecting to see Timu selected for Hooper or Pocock. I guess my comment reflects my thoughts that Timu brings stuff to the table that didn’t come out in the first test. If I’m right, then I expect Cheika will...

No sure on that. I agree Timu didn’t grasp his opportunity with both hands, but he was fine in game 1. His performance in game 2 was apparently impacted by injury so I’m not sure how much that will count against him. Despite Tui playing well the point of difference for Timu is his ball skills...

Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

That’s the thing that pisses me. The finger pointing that’s Australians complain about the ref. Yes, it happens way too much, but you only have to have a quick look on social media to see it’s not something Australians do significantly more than any other country.

Tom Robertson has really justified the faith. I must admit, I thought they may have stuffed him moving from TH, where he seemed to be doing very well. But he has now found his groove. Very happy to be talking so positively about our front row stocks. Will be interesting if Hanigan comes...

Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

I won’t argue against the penalty against Folau - although I think it is very marginal contact. However, I think World Rugby should move to outlaw lifting in general play. To me that is no different to moves to ban shoulder charges. The practice is inherently dangerous and has potential to...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Baring Injury, I think the tight 5 spots are more or less locked in with the 6 Front Rowers + TPN & Ala'alatoa, & the three locks + Arnold. Backrow is a little less clear. If Tui continues on from yesterday he fills the 6 role nicely, but Samu, Timu, Hanigan, McMahon &, possibly, Dempsey will...

Yeah - thought he was outstanding. Has always had great potential but maybe just lacked some discipline and application. But really played well over the series and was exceptional tonight IMO.

I agree. Unfortunately I feel we have put officials in a ‘no win’ situation. The only thing people complain about more than the incessant delays with the video ref is the number of perceived mistakes the officials make.

Do we know the extent of Coleman’s injury? I expected that he would be out for sure, but that doesn’t seem to be the consensus.
