    Reds 2020

I've never seen a player shed as much blood over a career as Croft did. Was a standout star in the ARC 2007 (?).

    Bledisloe II @ Eden Park

He is also a more than adequate lineout jumper. Actually, on the evidence of the Super season, I rate him a better pilferer than Hooper, who is quite good when he is asked to play as a No 7.

    Bledisloe II @ Eden Park

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is a bit of being in the same boat as Ben Smith. Both getting older and slower and not in the form of their heydays. Only Smith has much more recent form than AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and was a better player all round in any case. The ABs have seen the light and have replaced Smith but the Wallabies look like...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

It borders on nightmare stuff that Rob Simmons will again be in the mix for the Wallabies next year. I really hope that LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) will be able to revert to lock after Valetini and Dempsey both become available to fill the No 6 spot. Beyond Hockings, we have Swain and Blyth both establishing themselves...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Combinations are just so important. Arnold/Rodda is the best locking combination we have atm. The thing with Rory is that his points of difference being his ability at maul time, both attacking and defending, his off loading and link play to the backline, his lineout jumping and his defense...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

BH and Cyclo, I agree that Rory is playing at a higher level now, but I would also say (and I accept we will probably never agree on this) that he was playing better and had better form than a couple of the others who were used more frequently by Cheika over the past 3 - 4 years. I'd even go as...

    Rebels 2020

Looks to be especially strong in the forwards. Can someone put up a list showing the likely positions for all players? And perhaps with a possible starting xv? Roach I noticed is listed in one of the Mitre 10 teams.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

The FTA coverage also had ads after every scoring event, as well as during other breaks in play. Not sure that it's any different to the coverage on the App. It's the inane commentary that irks me more than the ads.

Qwerty, I suspect you've probably got only one or two players and their positions right for Auckland.

Must acknowledge that my comments on Pasitoa are the result of watching him in one game only, the recent match against Brisbane High. But it is interesting that Ted McMahon and Bobby Sands seem to have almost opposite views of his strengths and weaknesses.

    Brumbies 2020

Lonergan is close, I think, but the others really need a year or two to mature and develop. Pasitoa looks to be a good backline manager with a lot of time to act, great passing and kicking skills. Doesn't seem to take the ball forward himself much. A bit like a young Handre Pollard type of player.

Wallabies vs All Blacks 10th August @Optus Stadium Perth

Sure. TK is reknown as one of the best defensive No 13s in world rugby. Both in his positional play and one on one tackling, he has a lot to offer the likes of JOC (James O'Connor) or Petaia as they consolidate their spots in the squad/team. On last night's showing by JOC (James O'Connor) it might be a changing of the guard at...

Exactly. And the role that AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) might have played as mentor and technical guide can now be provided by Kuridrani.

Reported during the SS tv game that Boyd Killingworth (No 7) from the Warringah Rats and Aussie 7s has signed with the Rebels.

Wallabies vs All Blacks 10th August @Optus Stadium Perth

Clearly meant to be a tongue in cheek comment Michael. But hopefully the rise and rise of JOC (James O'Connor) (and the emergence of Petaia with Kuridrani still in the mix) will once and for all put AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)'s inclusion in the RWC squad to bed.

I think Coleman would certainly have topped the tackle count for impact if not for total numbers.
