I can’t remember Jake McIntyre getting talked up in the slightest. The only positive talk about him I remember were more defending his ongoing selection on the basis it wasn’t fair to judge him/hold him responsible for the Reds woes. Hardly a ringing endorsement.

I would imagine the example of CFS and the problems he had with his hamstrings is having a fair bearing on how they are managing Petaia.

It was an interesting call. Seemed a very harsh Red to me - but I guess rugby is ruled largely by the letter of the law these days so, in that respect, if she closed her fist a Red is the right call. Fiji did very well to compete as well as they did.

Zander is easing my concerns about our prop depth. 60 strong minutes tonight in terrible conditions for fat blokes. Much tougher assignment next week but he looks capable.
