    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

That is not rugby. We have enough competitors to our sport without creating yet another one. I would certainly switch away with that sort of proposal.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Adam, with respect I have absolutely no interest in cricket, this is a rugby forum and I hadn't considered that would be an issue. Though I do understand that this can be considered, with some legitimacy, as anti-Australian from a sporting point of view. FWIW I have never watched big bash...

I don't ,mind the way it is now. If you were to build a "Country" separately, and then split Brisbane/SEQ it is good a split as any. I'd stick with two teams and the way we have started NRC. It works.

Agree - "third tier" should be banned.

And here's one we prepared earlier! Great work Reg. I'd prefer that each franchise, minus the internationals, split into two teams and introduced the cream from the respective club competitions - a la Qld City and Country. I don't mind NSW wanting three and Force and Rebels only one (though two...

I think this is right - and in Canberra I understand that there is quite some enmity between the Vikings and other clubs. If it can work there it's a good sign. I do think you lose some tribalism though. I also wonder how it would translate to pulling teams out of the SRU in NSW. There is just...

I don't mind building a domestic comp from the club scene on the proviso that it MUST have the intent, with the necessary backing and support, to be a fully professional comp. I would have thought it would be a less difficult process to build that from the 5 franchise teams, but I'm happy if we...

My thumbs up for the domestic thinking. Ditto for there is another thread for it.

I thought Beale was mostly solid for the WBs. I don't have a problem with him being considered. I completely understand the Tahs wanting him in a re-build phase. Personally I cut the enthusiasm short of RA top up. He isn't that good these days. If he wants a chance to fight for the WBs from a...

Derp, Derp, Derp... Not SOME initial interest. HEAPS of initial interest. It's good, bro.

While I do support TT games for ANZAC day weekend, this is generally a good thing. Gives the Aus teams a chance to build in continuity and experience before facing Kiwi teams - IFF their depths stands up. <also it is a short step to formulating a proper domestic comp as a basis for the season>

    Reds 2022

Beat me to it. Let's drop the conspiracy theories. All the best for the Dolphins btw, might even have me taking a passing interest in mungo when they start. But honestly Thorn and Bennet have a long history and if they are chatting about coaching I don't see that as anything other than a good...

They got infected training for a rugby game when they were meant to be in an environment to protect them Of course it is rugby related.

When was the last time you saw testicular cancer as a rugby related illness?

Barbarians vs Samoa, Sunday 28 November 12:30AM AEST

Every professional rugby player has their rugby related illnesses and injuries discussed in public. You'd only take that view if the person was somehow responsible for contracting the virus, and that would be a break in protocol so should also be in the public eye. We're being way to presumed...

That is an incomplete assessment, but given sensitivities here on the topic I'll leave it there.

Really? Why? The information would be public about any injury and any other illness, wouldn't it?
