He's a little like Petaia. High expectations and the appearance of being able to achieve it, but in retrospect might have had a better introduction into Super. I hope he comes good. He can be electric.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

Yes as Wan pointed out. I really think HK is a dead duck in terms of sport that requires international support. I could be wrong but I would definitely find it weird.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

Am I missing something? Clearly I don't follow 7s with dedication and I haven't being following the sporting scene in HK at all. BUT. Will there be another HK Sevevns, and if there was would anybody turn up? Taiwan is just across the water, and still does fun and recreation. Just saying.

    Reds 2022

Clearly. And from the bench we are developing others as well. I'm glad we don't simply lose him if there is a change in 15.

WIth you, with you. I'm sure my "bounce and flop" skills, which are simply automated in the tackle, mean that I could still double at 6 and 7. Well back at the club house anyway. But you know, my "Almost pass" leaves me looking for a centre. Let's team up. Strength in numbers.

    Waratahs 2022

Nah, not at all. I need a creative centre outside me as all I've got left is a pass. Doesn't go far but it's all yours.

Jock at 10! Wow! Love the guy and his organisation is top notch. Never considered 10, but I was getting a bit despondent about him losing out to Petaia. Not sure about 10 at all, but really looking forward to hopefully seeing it tested. Go Jock!

    Wallabies 2023

I'm glad Beale has his supporters. He wouldn't make 15 in my team, unlikely even 23. Banks to 15, Hodge to 23, but I'm watching what happens with Petaia at the Reds.

    Super Rugby 2022

Yep, or perhaps even have started (as well as finished) there.

    Roberts who?

    Not the only one, no.

Haha! I'd forgotten. What a pain.

Or as others have suggested, the tote is up and running in NZ, not so much here.

What's that JJ? Rugby west of George Street, got to be kidding, right? ;) SS is a good indicator for SS but not perhaps for rugby generally.

    Reds 2022

Understood. The context I was thinking of was Thorn's immediate actions and the juxtaposition with areas that the Reds management had invested in. He was promoted earlier than ideal, with a result that worked against former and relatively recent decisions by the Reds and imo they deserved to be...

I don't think those thoughts were greatly out of context when Thorn was promoted - along with the immediate turmoil. Time has provided a different context. He'll be remembered well.

    This I like.

    Super Rugby 2022

That looks very Kiwi fan centred. MP (Moana Pasifika) in the top 8 is a huge call, but even moreso with all 5 Kiwi conference teams in the top 8.

I used to walk it both ways to the rugby when available, but yes. Hence: Ferry to London <1k. Pint. London to Dicks <1k. Pint. Dicks to Welcome <1k. Pint. 1.5k to the ground.

It might not be the right direction for you, but there are plenty of pubs in Balmain/Rozelle - most would consider the Riverview and the London as quality. Closer (Rozelle) are the Weeds and the Welcome. Rugby pubs. Personally my old haunt was the Drydock - a major low class dump of a dive if...
