Pick your Wallaby team for EOYT

Well Beale is just better than Cooper & as for Horne I'm not sure of the age difference but he certainly is more rugged & has more super 14 experience.

SNK, He's got the runs on the board & deserves a shot at test Rugby again. He's proven himself at super 14 & Aussie A level as a quality player with a high skill level & a good rugby brain. Would make a very handy utility back off the bench with a great kicking game, probably the best...

Pick your Wallaby team for EOYT

Cooper blows to hold & cold for me I know he's only young but he needs to string some quality performances together as his form is very erratic & I would love to see him start playing with far more consistency before throing him into a test arena. When he's hot even the best sides defence can...

    Queensland Reds 2009

Yeah 20 is probably to young for a hooker at super 14 level & Faainga can hold his own. Geez I wish Moore had stayed on but shit happens. Should probably add Hardman to the list of players we can't afford to get injured.

    Queensland Reds 2009

We will need a lot of luck on the injury front. If Horwill, Holmes, MMM, Barnes, Lucas, Hynes & Ioane can all stay fit & at least play 10 games minimum we will go alright. I don't agree with Cooper going on the spring tour but I think as a reds fan it's a good thing. What's the go with...

Gagger & Sully, Is Cooper really worth all the fuss? To me he's a poor man's Carlos Spencer & if he wants to be an All Black then so be it. I'd take Beale anyday. As for O'Conner he was always going to be an Aussie, he's at the Force next to his idol Matt Giteau & he's contracted till the...

    Tri-Nations wrap up

The 3 game format doesn't work go back to a two game format with one extra played between Oz & Nz at the end of the Tri-nations which is purely a Bledisloe decider if it hasn't already been wrapped up in the 1st two games. Or even better let Argentina into Sanzar & call it Sanzaar have a super...

Pick your Wallaby team for EOYT

To be honest I'm not all that happy with the squad at all, to me picking Cooper & O'conner is a waste of time. They should be part of next years PNC (Pacific Nations Cup) before going on tour. Why take Cordingley & leave Lucas at home that's a pisstake. Lucas kept Cordingley on the bench at the reds for the last...

    A New World Order

We've had more success in Melbourne than Brisbane against the All Blacks. We usually play our best rugby in Brisbane but unfortunately so do the All Blacks. If it's results we want then play every other side in Brisbane & take the All Blacks to oval stadiums like Sydney & the MCG.

Good post gagger, I didn't realise how bad that last ruck was. Donald alone was just one constant infringement.

    The Cordingley Spite Thread

If you go to rugby.com.au (the unofficial australian rugby site) & watch the highlights then you'll see Kaplan standing right at the ruck as AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is clearly on his feet over the ball & RoSo won't release in the ruck before Weepu goes over for a try. It was poor from Kaplan RoSo was isolated &...

Have our blokes forgotten how to tackle?

We did leak a lot of soft tries this year which was alarming I don't know why we've become so poor considering even though we haven't been a great team for at least 6 years we've always had the best defence. I know Robbie Deans is a good maybe even great coach but what works at super 14 level...

it definitely goes both ways I think we got away with a lot in Durban.

Towards the end of the match the AB's would lie all over the ball at any given chance to slow the game down & kaplan did fuck all.

    Brisbane Wallaby player ratings

Until Kimlin & Hockings really come along then I think we need Sharpie as I see MMM purely as a blindside flanker at test level. Mumm is a good player but i'm not sure he is a full time test lock either he will probably battle for the 6 jersey with MMM. James Horwill has clearly been our best...

Wallabies v All Blacks III in Brisvegas

I have to agree with some of the comments on here about Deans not using our subs earlier, why bring MMM on with only 9 minutes to go. Rocky had been sick all week and he hadn't played well for the 1st 50 minutes why wait to see if he gets any better over the next 20 minutes?? I think Sheehan...

Another postive for Burgess is that he'll put his head in a ruck were as Cords Like Gregan wasn't prepared to last night even on the last play of the game he still just stood there & the kiwis only just scrambled that ball out before Horwill arrived.

Spring tour development, what we need. It's pretty clear that we need to find out who is our #1 halves pairing & what position should we be playing Giteau & Barnes. ATM most positions are fairly well covered except for 9,10 & 12 so we really need to give some real test match minutes to the...

I'd also like to see SNK get some minutes on this tour. He is a genuine ball player with good vision, good pass & a good kicking game surely at some point he may well be very useful in a tri nations series when we run into injury problems. Everyone shit canned him after the Welsh match in 2007...

That was a shocker I'm glad you mentioned that Mcmeniman had ran the perfect line & if that ball had been out in front of his chest he was going over. I was at the game & that was right in front of me & the kiwis were thin on the fringes were MMM was looking to fly into the gap full tilt. Got...
