Another week another flogging. This time we only had 12 players turn up and our first grade coach agreed to lend us his two wingers who we put out wide (mainly to keep fresh for first grade). Wedid well regardless of the final score as most of their tries were simple overlaps (one of our first...

    "We're close"

We've been close since the days of EJ (Eddie Jones). Since then our forwards have taken some steps forward and our backs can't pass. The 'Get rid of Sharpe' bandwagon is still going around if anyone wants to hop aboard....

Had a heartbreaking 5 point loss on the weekend in a game we should have won. Every time we got ourselves in the game we gifted the opposition an easy 5 pointer. I went off injured in the first half, was in a ruck and one of their players came in from the side and cleaned me out. Not sure what...

Didn't he write an article about how rugby wronged him just last Sunday?

Am a West Harbour fan myself as my grandfather coached their inaugural seconds team after the war.

The Entrance Rams I was too busy doing my job as a forward to point the rule out to him - he does have a big boot like John Eales though. Was glad it was full-time to be honest....

    Waratahs 2010

Do the 'tahs really need Fava to hang around for another year. Seems like a dead weight to me...

We got thumped 60-odd to 5 on Saturday against the best team in the comp. Told the players before not to be intimidated by them and we weren't. After the game I laid it out fairly straight for the boys that the only two things seperating us from the gun team were fitness and teamwork and the...

Was captain-coach yesterday and still struggling with laringitis so couldn't yell. We had a full team (just)with no reserves as we were playing an away game (our guys don't like travelling at all). As coach I selected myself at 8 as the tight 5 had other guys who could play there. We ended up...

    Australie – FFR. Samdi 27 Juin à Stade d’olympique.

I think Spook was referring more to the fact that Waugh actually made the 22 at all. Would hate to see that 22 named to take on the All blacks!

    QLD Reds 2010

Bubba Ryan doesn't have a full-time coaching gig at the moment and the Reds could do with some mongrel up front which is what he would teach them.

    Refs' Room 2009

Glad the ref didn't know that yesterday as I was instructing my players to kick it out on free kicks as we were winning the opposition's lineouts. Most of our refs don't seem to know the rule boooks too well so maybe if i continue to act like I do we can still get away with it.....

    Refs' Room 2009

Does anyone know the rule concerning free kicks outside the 22? Are you allowed to kick the ball directly into touch, handing the lineout throw to the opposition where the ball crossses the line of touch or is it brought back to the point where you kick it from.

The team had its first win in 3 years today. It came on the back of us getting 15 guys down to training on Thursday night and having subs. I was selected to captain the boys for the first time today whivh was a huge thrill and I had a huge smile on the dial at full-time when we got the win up...

Another game another loss. Last week we had a heap of reserves as it was a home game, this week we had 2 (luckily my brother decided to have a run otherwise it would have been 1). The only reason the players from last week (including the captain) didn't come was because they couldn't be arsed...

Having looked at this thread I should report in on the goings on with the Rammys. We have been getting flogged each week and have not troubled the scoreboard attendants most weeks. We apparently lost a lot of quality players at the end of last year to St. Pats in Subbies who could afford to pay...

    Wallabies v Baabaas

As a Coastie it is wonderful to see one of my fellow brethren selected for the Wallabies, but as a Rammy I would have preferred he didn't come from those dirty rotten Avoca bastards..... We'll never hear the end of it..
