Stadium seating prices? (and Nick name calling)

Re: Stadium seating prizes? Rusty, do you guys have a different meaning to rockspider than us? (In Oz a rockspider is someone who has sex with children)

What is wrong with our attack?

Why has our attack gone to shit? 1. As others have stated poor to zero support play. 2. Our attack is too flat (no depth). 3. Our backs can't pass properly i.e. in front of the player running onto the ball (this may come back to point two). 4. Our kicking game lacks imagination or common sense...

    The Kiss of Death

Considering that Deans is the backs coach maybe you are correct. He is also our defense coach so maybe the three roles (head coach also) are too much for him. With the review hopefully this will be addressed and he will be reduced to the role of Attack / Defence coordinator (in other words Head...

    Knuckles to sue JON

........ and so are the days of our lives. Rugby is becoming (or should that be has become) a really bad soap opera in Australia. The Wallabies are playing out a tragedy at the moment which is the worst part of all.

    The Kiss of Death

From: The bolded bits would have Deans sweating a bit as no coach likes hearing the CEO going to the media stating that his job is safe and he has the board's full support. This is usually followed in quick succession with the axe. I wonder if Smith and Gits had anything to do with Nuci's...

    Goodbye Test Career

You forgot Alan Jones (though was he ever seriously in the running) in your coaches list. The only Australian coaches who could possibly take over from Deans (if he were to be replaced which I am not advocating)IMHO would be Pat Howard, Michael Cheika, Alan Gaffney or McGahon (from Munster)...

    Somebody Defrost Larkham

Does anyone remember a couple of years ago commentators were calling for Gits to be moved to 10 so he could get more ball. Now they are clling for him to be moved to 12 so he can get more space so that he can be effective. Could it be that he isn't up to test rugby?

    Western Force 2010

A question for the Force fans - what's the feeling towards John Mitchell over there? This will be his fifth season in charge and they have yet to make the S14 finals despite spending a lot of money (through 3rd party sponsors) on players, the forwards are weak despite his background as a Waikato...

    Waratahs 2010

I stand corrected. I hope for the 'tahs and Wallabies sakes he turns out to be near the same class as Matfield but at 26 if he was he would have shown it by now surely....

    Waratahs 2010

Jowitt sounds a bit light for a pro-rugby era lock - 201cm and 113kg seems like the measurements for a bean pole. Has anyone seen him play? 60 matches in 4 seasons sounds a bit light coming from the European season. Mumm is a much better lock than 6 so Hickey needs to keep him there.

Who was our (the wobs) 2005 Backs/Attack coach?

To get back to the original question it was in fact Alan Gaffney. He left when Eddie was sacked as EJ (Eddie Jones) brought him in as Alan was his coach at Randwick in the late '80s.

    Waratahs 2010

Wasn't he the bloke who played for the Force a couple of years ago and couldn't catch a cold? Fast as anything but useless as tits on a bull from memory....

Deans pushing for domestic comp in Oz

... because it would put them way offside with the unholy trinity from Sydney\s eastern suburbs who fought so valiantly to whiteant the original ARC. I think the original ARC had most of it right with teams, just some locations (, pricing and marketing - what good is a comp if no one knows...

    Melbourne Rebels 2011

1 Jerry Y (agree with whoever mentioned him), possibly Karl Rakebrandt (sp?) 2 Freir (if he is willing to leave the 'tahs for another Oz province) or Elvis Levi (from Penrith) 3 Rodzilla (if available), Herman Hunt or possibly Dan Palmer (depends on what Baxter does) 4 Kane Douglas / Steve Mafi...

Let's look at potential Wallaby coaches

A lot of fans are bleaming Deans (that sounds familiar :nta:) but some of the spotlight has turned on his support staff and their performance. A worrying thing has happened though in the CEO has come out in support of Deans - never a good sign in Oz sport as it is usually followed by the axe. I...

    Phil Mooney goooooooonnnnee

How in the world is Mooney to blame for the basket case the Reds have become. If anything they have improved under his tenure. Half of their problems stems from the fact they have had 5 coaches over the last 9 seasons. This has had an effect to some degree on the high turnover of players. The...

Wallaby Bok Brizzy Post-Match post here

I agree with Naza here (I feel dirty saying it and will scrub myself thoroughly later) and was dirty on Genia when he kicked the ball out as soon as the siren sounded with the Wallabies in a goof attacking position and no chance of the Springboks getting any ladder points out of the game. Surely...

    Wallaby Captain

I don't know about you but a bloke who is world class in his position inspires me. A few choice swear words as well as a passion for the jersey is all a captain needs to inspire his team mates in my experience. I don't know about being smart but a knowledge of the rules and some basic rugby...

    Player Ratings

Can't see why Horwill is rated so low as he seemed to be the only tight forward (other than Robbo) who was hitting rucks.

    And the Wallabies are

Could Hynes have been dropped for those pathetic grubber kicks (if so G. Smith look out) when he made a break and not better utilising his support players. Though he didn't cost any tries like Turner or Cross (or was it AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)'s man?) or make any other glaring errors. Was he one of the players who...
