Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

Timu missed the tackle on Furlong. That was his man and he didn't even make an attempt and the big man strolled right through inches from him. The ankle perhaps? He also missed one or two other crucial tackles. Kerevi twice threw speculators off the ground in our half when we were under...

Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

That’s Ok. He played a full half last week and looked good right through. I think he is right. I would actually prefer Timu on the bench than Samu.

Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

I’d say he’s a good bench option to cover Pocock and Hooper. Start them with Tui at 6 and Samu or Timu on the bench.

Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

I don’t disagree with Cheikas selections on the whole. However both Timu and BPA have been a little underwhelming and their replacements better. Arnold was not available for the first test but is fully fit. I just don’t see what a Kerevi gives at 13. His superior strength and tackle breaking...

Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

I would say both. Some fresh enthusiasm and potentially your best combination. We obviously did not get the attitude and execution right this week and that comes down to Cheika and Hooper.

Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

It makes no sense to just persist with the same 23 and hope for the best. We need to respond to the loss and adjust, as Ireland did last week We have some other options in the squad that should be considered for this 3rd test. Arnold will add grunt and go forward. The best second row performance...

Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

We need someone in the backs who can straighten the line and lead the defence. If not TK then Hodge.

TK into 13 and a 5-3 bench. Maddocks on the pine in place of Samu.

It’s early days for him. Don’t think he was quite ready.

Wallabies v Ireland, Saturday 16th June, 8.00pm, AAMI Park, Melbourne

What happened to the incredible line speed we had the previous week? It was another physical game but I got the feeling that our intensity had dropped considerably. We need a little new muscle in there this coming Saturday.

A 2nd/3rd choice team? How many players are in the touring squad?

Are you suggesting that we are incapable of beating that Irish lineup?

Wallabies v Ireland, Saturday 16th June, 8.00pm, AAMI Park, Melbourne

Yes, but we came out with the same team intending to play exactly the same way as the first test and by doing so played right into Ireland’s hands. J. Schmidt had been working on countering it all week. Amazing that we stayed in touch and were a score away from winning at the death. Surely we...

No, but it should have been a penalty as you cannot jump across in to the other lineout.

That should have been a penalty or worse. They through him across the lineout onto Poey.

If anything it was an obvious tactic of the Irish to hold both Hooper and Pocock down after each break down for as long as possible. This may have ensued in a little scuffle when they were trying to break free.

Yes, a bit worried about the backs if they go into contact as hard this week. Limited back up on the bench. Hopefully we can smash them into submission a little faster this time?

He’s done it before. He was away..... he was running a decoy and should have been looking for the ball. He ran in to a big hole.

It was a very close run stat

I thought Simmons was dominant when he came on last weekend. He ran the ball, made multiple big driving tackles behind the ad line, steadied the lineout and helped anchor an improving scrum. Cant really ask more than that?
