    Wallabies 2018 Spring Tour

I would be surprised if AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) makes the final squad. Compared to Kerevi, Petaia and the other outside backs he is most likely way off the pace.

    How far off is TK?

    Wallabies 2018 Spring Tour

We are going to miss Hodge on this tour. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) becomes the backup guy. How is his pace these days?

When do we get the squad? Latu may have cost himself a spot. Simmons confirmed his seat and Kerevi made a statement.

Wallabies v All Blacks, Sat 27th October 4.45pm AEDT, Nissan Stadium, Japan

I thought both our wingers were great and will play a big part in the next 12 months. Simmons had a good game. He’s a big lad and he has skills. Rodda had maybe his worst game in gold. Have to say TTs form has dropped off lately. You barely notice hm out there. Could be having TPN alongside him...

The EOYT squad next week will be interesting.

Hopefully Petaia is given a lot of game time on the EOYT. If we are honest Kerevi has only been moderately successful against lesser opposition. He should not be our number 1 OC going into the RWC ideally. I would try and develop Petaia quickly with TK, Kerevi and Folau as back up. This week...

The back 5 in the pack lack grunt.

    Wallabies 2018 Spring Tour

It is very odd but I doubt that the folks at RA can work out the “system” if the players cannot. Obviously the ABs have been having a chuckle about it as far back as 2015. Nick Bishop is a decent bloke so he suggests that he has full confidence in the coaching staff to sort this out. I doubt...

It will depend on how we are travelling. If Folau is not doing well at 13 Kerevi goes there. If Beale or Foley come off he goes to 12.

Folau with Kerevi on the bench one would think. We are also without To'omua so the inside backs are a little thin.

You would think it would be a good chance to play Folau at 13. Petaia to join the tour after the weekend.

Cottrell was done in on the weekend presumably. How long is he out?

There is no saviour. But look at the side and where it can be improved. The back row makeup has not been producing. Hooker has been a problem spot. Maybe a change at 13. That’s about it. Bled 3 last year we had a backrow of Dempsey, Hooper and McMahon. Simmons and Coleman were in the second...

Cheika does like to have a lock at 6 to counter the Pooper. But Holloway is a 6/8 that can play lock. Tui and Phillip are the opposite. Love to see Holloway get a run at 8.

    Wallabies 2018 Spring Tour

Hanigan, Hooper and Pocock has not been very successful so far. Hope they try a new combo or at least introduce someone new into the backrow. Samu is an adequate replacement for Hooper or Pocock but there is no point in having him in a 23 when the other two are fit. Cottrell and Dempsey can...

    Wallabies 2018 Spring Tour

Our backrow stocks are getting better with Dempsey back, Cottrell in the mix and Valetini available. Liam Gill is also apparently keen on coming back and taking a run at the RWC squad. It’s a matter of picking the right mix and having a decent approach to that unit.

That’s a bit harsh but I would agree that neither has staked a claim, albeit with pretty limited opportunity.

I would have had Petaia in place on Naivalu. Jed Holloway? Interesting.

    Wallabies 2018 Spring Tour

I would guess that Petaia, Valetini and Cottrell would be the three exceptions. If we take our recent squad with the same coaching setup it’s unlikely we will do well. Some things have to change.
