RC5: Springbokke vs Wallabies @ PE

Whoever he picks most here will be behind them. Cheika obviously sees something in the Beale/To'omua inside back combo that many cannot. I hope he is right. Once again, no matter who trots out from 10-15 will not succeed without good front foot ball. Hoping he gets the forwards right and they are...

Jake White would be a good short term option to get our game back to focusing on the basics.

RC5: Springbokke vs Wallabies @ PE

KBs problem at 10 is that his space is limited and he is under more pressure to direct play. Because of this his option talking has been very poor. He invariably runs sideways and is panicked, often passing to people in a worse position than him or taking on the line, which he does far too...

We were never able to replace him but at the same time he was not able to fulfill what the Pooper needed. Maybe nobody can? He’s a great player and will still be that 12 months from now.

That backline looks like our most potent from the squad but starting both Simmons and Hanigan, while strengthening the lineout, does look a little light on for ball carrying. Tupou, TPN and Kepu could do some serious damage to the SA back up scrum late in the game. I would like to see Cottrell...

Timu has not yet shown his best at test level and Cottrell may be more suited to test footy. There is only one way to find out. Hope he gets a chance.

Not real big but certainly bigger than Samu or Hooper and he has a different skill set. Hopefully he gets a run at some point in the next few weeks.

Beale most useful from the bench as an attacking weapon in the second half. The other options do not have the try scoring potential. Samu is under an injury cloud and with Tui unlikely to be available we have a lack of depth in the back row. Might be time to give Cottrell a run? Have not heard...

Maybe you are right about taking a break. I did state within whatever official guidelines there are in place. I’m not judging him.

I agree with that. After all it is a game and these guys play it professionally because they want to be successful and they are selected by someone else. On the flip side of this Tui situation it does illustrate the sense of entitlement that exists within Oz rugby. Here is a young bloke who has...

Beale is now playing without confidence. I would start Foley at 10 and To'omua at 12 with Beale coming on at 12 in the second half.

We played some good rugby in the Irish series but have regressed since. On paper it’s a pretty strong squad. It has to come down to coaching/selections/direction.

The whole Beale at 10 thing was pulled out of thin air a few weeks ago after a year of trying to manufacture a back up 10.

Why was To'omua pulled when Beale seemed to be the problem? He looked genuinely surprised

Cheika has to go as does Castle. Time to rebuild RA from the top down.

Cheika has lost them. The effort just was not there as if they were expecting to win. RA needs to be restructured from the pointy end. 7th...........fark me

He’s not your typical seagull as his work rate is exceptionally high, often topping the tackle count overall and carrying metres in the forwards. I am not a Pooper enthusiast but Hooper is no seagull.

    Not the $6mill man?

McMahon brings his ball carrying ability to the party. Pocock has improved a great deal recently in this part of his game. Dempsey is an excellent all around back rower.

Pumas scrum is average right now. They will not be getting any joy this weekend. Should be a good platform for KB (Kurtley Beale) and To'omua to get it together.
