    Wallabies 2018 Spring Tour

Surely Dempsey should go as he will be key. I read that there will be no surprises but that’s tough to swallow considering our results of late.

Any smokies? We are going to need someone in the backrow. Dempsey, Cottrell or maybe Valetini? Petaia needs to go if he is in the plans for the RWC which he needs to be. Too early for Quade?

I hope it will be TPN,Latu and Uelese as hookers. All three are quality. Not sure about BPA and Fainga just yet but it’s early days for them.

I do not see the need for Naisarani or Samu and if Tui comes it will be primarily as a lock that can play 6. Dempsey and McMahon should be pursued and Cottrell tried on the EOYT.

Quade to light up the rebels backline like no one has previously giving Cheika no other option but to take him. I was a big fan before but he never matured. He might do so now as a player. There is no doubting his skill. Here’s hoping.

Oh yes........and Jordan Petaia is a must even if Kerevi does go

I thought I read somewhere that Slipper will not be considered? Quade is a good call if To'omua is rested. Dempsey and Cottrell should both go. Not sure about Timu. Would like to see a Cottrell/Pocock/Dempsey combo with Hoops on the bench.

I think Grey and Raiwalui. You cannot win without front foot ball and possession. That forward revival in the second stanza came from the players despite what they are being coached. It’s a shame that Latu is prone to the grubby hit. He’s a great player besides that.

No. I meant that Latu is a better scrummager and he is much better on the ground pilfering. He also doesn’t mind going for a trot. I’m surprised to hear that he is lighter.

Yes. He will add weight to our scrummaging and to the contest at the breakdown. Hope his throwing has improved. Will Ulese be back for the EOYT?

Foley back at 10 but the forwards more or less unchanged. No Angus Cotrell or Jake Gordon in the 23. Timu gets another run.

Back to the lineout. Who coaches it? I thought it was pretty solid against Ireland who are not too shabby. I have to say our forward play in general has regressed considerably. The scrum looked better on the weekend but our breakdown and lineout has been poor this RC, not to mention defence and...

Yes. It might test the relationship I know.

Wobblies v pumas - is Salta at altitude edition

In the forwards we need someone who will combine well with Hooper and Pocock to make our back row effective. Then we need two locks, our 6 and the hookers, actually our whole pack to be putting in serious time on the lineout. We could probably also use Ledesma for a couple of days to get our...

I would like to see Foley at 10 and a To'omua at 12 to start with KB (Kurtley Beale) coming in at 12 in the second half when the game loosens up a bit. More important to our cause will be the pack selections. We need go forward and to contest and win the collisions.

Cheikas problem is his die for his “mates” no matter what mantra. He believes that he will receive their absolute best in return. No matter how poorly Grey has performed as the defence coach he has refused to consider a change. His reliance on certain other players and coaches has been similar...

RC5: Springbokke vs Wallabies @ PE

I’d love to see Cottrell get a run next week at 6 or 8. We just need to get away from jamming as many stars into the side as possible and work towards producing a pack that plays as a unit............as a pack! Same in the backs. That means having a few no nonesense players that will do the...

RC5: Springbokke vs Wallabies @ PE

It was a really poor performance from a game plan point of view and execution was terrible most of the time. We do have the cattle but our coaches are missing it and it appears to be getting worse That was a very winnable game.

Would have been a good opportunity to give Cottrell a run. Hanigan can also play in the second row.
