That’s absolute rubbish. Foley is so under valued by some here.

When weighing up a scrum against a lineout not all players are equal. Whoever is selected to join the Pooper in the backrow can have more influence on the lineout than the scrum. Timu appeared to be a pretty good target. We need to see his ball carrying this week otherwise you may as well just...

On top of Hanigans height is that he is a very good lineout exponent. Not saying he should get a run but he is a very strong lineout option.

Timu was quite good in the lineout on the weekend. He is serviceable at 8 as the third jumper with the odd one going to Hooper or Poey. He and BPA will be better this week. Think of it this way though. If we had a lineout that delivered 98% good clean ball it would make a mountain of difference.

Having watched the game again it looked as though Timu was very good defensively and quite effective at the lineout. He will be better for the run and will carry the ball well when the opportunity comes. I think it might be worth giving TK a run at 13. Samu K. was ok but did make some telling...

He’s a recent convert from league. I’m sure the pace and intensity took him by surprise. The stats show he was very busy in defence and he will be better for the run. Genia needs to feed him the ball in attack so he can show his running game at this level.

It’s a shame he didn’t glove the little pop pass from Genia. He was in for all money and everyone here would be demanding he start next week. I think he contributed well but there is also Arnold to consider. I would guess that Simmo holds his spot.

That’s a bit harsh. With one he pinned his ears back and went for the corner trying to bump off the defender who made an amazing tackle. The other he cut in field. The Irish defence was very good.

He put in some big hits and his body on the line all night. Hope he’s OK.

We have several people coming back who are available and a squad of 32 to work with. They played very well yesterday and could easily go in to the 2nd test unchanged. Cheika could also tweak it a bit. It’s not park footy and they need to win another test, hopefully two.

I’m thinking Arnold for Simmons, maybe TK starts and revert to a 5/3 bench and introduce Banks or Maddocks. Tui at 6 is an option to strengthen the lineout as well. Just because we won does not make it a perfect performance. There are improvements to be made. It was a great win BTW but we can be...

I think with another week together we will improve but so will Ireland knowing now what they are up against. Expect a couple of tweaks in the lineup and approach from Cheika.

Arnold will be available next week as well. Tui might grab a start at 6?

It must have been the plan. The Wallabies came out hard and fast and put some huge hits on in the first 15 minutes. When the bench players came on it was the same. Tui put on some massive hits. Have to establish physical dominance. So good to watch. Koiebete and Beale fantastic in defence...

He had some very good touches, tackled well and controlled play well. His kicking game was good too.

To'omua would be very handy for the RWC. Another good option at 12 and a better option at 10 than both Beale and Hodge. He has a good head on his shoulders(we hope) and could well challenge for a spot right now.

Crap. I was looking forward to seeing AAA at LH. Hope he will be right for the following week.
