Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

I think they've been working on their physicality because in the past they've been insufficiently physical to compete with other top nations across the park, often simply being blown off the ball, particularly by England.

Invisible. Precisely how workrate locks should be. At the end of the game we should all wonder who the muddy one is.

It depends on the injury. I 'managed' an ankle injury and suffered a complete seperation, which stopped me playing running sports. :-(

Resting helps by pushing the time to failure further back in time. We don't know his shoulder will catastrophically fail during the games leading up to and including the RWC final, but by having him play fewer games, we reduce the risk of it doing so.

Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

I know I shoudn't get dragged into this, but the endless carping posts are hard to ignore. There's nothing wrong with symbolic gestures. They are important. The national apology was important. Flying the aboriginal flag alongside the national flag is important. But why this gesture? Part of...

If we're going to have a uniquely Australian cultural statement, it should be something other than a localized copy of New Zealand's cultural statement. Australia is a pluralist society. It consists of more than indigenous people. Represent us all, including the indigenous people. Sorry...

Sadly I channel my inner prop when dancing as well.

One thing I've observed in expat bars round the world is that Aussies are much better dancers than Kiwis, so you'd better be careful what you wish for. Although it must be said that your war dance is impressively choreographed these days. Certainly better than the old bank clerk on caffeine...

Yeah, nah. Think you're imagining that mate.

Seems the same. A retaliatory slaap.

Not a mistake I'll make again!

My Bled 1 team: Sio Moore Kepu Simmons Skelton Fardy / Hooper Pocock Palu Phipps Foley Tomane To'omua (or a straight swap with Lilo if still concussed) Kuridrani Speight Folau Holmes Smith Nau Horwill McCalman Hooper / Fardy Beale AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) Rested but not dropped: Slipper. Slipper's locked in...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I think we'd be mad not to play our first XV vs Fiji. Otherwise the England game will be the first run together for the run-on team since Bled 2.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I imagine you had to undergo a soul-searching solitary stint in the desert for 40 days, without food and water, contemplating the state of the universe, and the nature of our existence here on earth, and what it means to be a human, before finally settling on two Brumbies. ;-)

Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

Agreed. Three years ago I would have picked Digby. But not for the past three years. Perhaps we're on the same page. On the other hand, Speight can't prove anything at test level without playing tests. He's a bit of a special case because of his suspension. Cheika might always have intended to...

Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

While I don't disagree with any of that analysis (quite the contrary) I think the time for experimentation has finished now. The Bleds are the start of the pointy end of the year, and are almost as important as the World Cup itself. We should play our A team. We also want to continue to have...

Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

In the last three years, Digby and JOC (James O'Connor) have struggled to hold down starting positions in France. This year, JOC (James O'Connor) has failed to make an impact at the Reds, other than in the form of brainfarts. Of course you would have picked them for the Wallabies: you're a Kiwi.

Not that I believe for a moment in the conspiracy theories, but arguments about biased officials are more subtle than that. The argument is that they'll see things differently because of their situation, not that they'll intentionally cheat. It's the same argument about hometown referees. It's...

How idiotic. A token sentence that seemingly fits none of the possible offences.
