Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

Phibbs gets selected out of club ranks on here so often that we should pitch in and get him a Wallabies jersey.

Isn't it 3 hours to go?

I'm sure that Genia is there for two reasons: to benefir from his combination with Cooper (not to be underestimated in the first game) and as a test of his current abilities. These are probably both best tested by starting him. If he doesn't step (i.e. back to the old Genia) then Phipps is going...

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

If the Saffers really think have nothing to lose when they play overseas tests, then the once-proud Springbok spirit of rugby is dead. The old Boers will be turning in their graves. Of course it's probably only been sacrificed in effigy to the mocker Gods, but those are capricious masters, who...

Fingers crossed for Higginbotham. Hopefully this will be his long-awaited breakthrough year.

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

I know it's off-topic but my ideal backline (all fit and firing) would be Genia, Cooper, Tomane, Giteau, Kuridrani, Speight, Folau. The forwards seem fine to me, although I'd personally be starting Pocock. It might be like the old TPN-Moore combo, where which one starts depends on what kind of...

That Wallaby backline looks noticeably slow to me. 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14 all used to be quick but haven't been recently.13 and 15 are explosive but both lack top end gas. Mitchell and Tomane on the wings seems more balanced. It's something other teams will be aware of.

Like a stopped watch that is always right once a day, the press have picked every halves combination.

Also there are plenty of 'customers' who don't attend games. The sport is elitist enough without building an inner elite within it.

Indeed. Jones at 24 should man up and compete, not leave the country because Dean Mumm was selected and the press is talking up Kane Douglas. The Fact that Jones is leaving makes me Very Angry.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Everyone seems to be suggesting their favorites throw the toys out of the pram. It would be ironic if we finally developed some depth, and then all the depth disappeared in a hissy fit because they weren't picked.

People are talking him up so they can get angry about coaches and officials making the decisions they've just invented to get angry at.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

How do we get from him possibly being a squad contender to surely being a starter?

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

Holmes is good, but by any reasonable measurement, Kepu is one of the form tight heads in world rugby, so I can't see how we're going to go about dropping him at this stage. Most importantly for the Wallabies, he's attracted the fewest penalties of any tight head in Supe rugby this year. The...

Possibly a question for post the next world cup. Kepu is 29. Barring a Robinson-esque injury, he's just entering the peak years for a scummaging prop.

I have a question for the props of the forum. Why is it the dark arts when other countries do it, and cheating when we do?

Also five years to international level is too long to wait for 'the answer'. We have several tightheads with international ability right now. They need good continuing development.

Are they going to apologise for selecting Beale?

The All Blacks only have one head coach and two assistant coaches. We also have more words.
