And zipped through the Kiwi midfield to eventually set up O'Connor the time before that.

People are underestimating Beale. In a competition where we lack points of difference that can turn a game for us, Beale is one of them. In the very last game, Beale came on and made a difference with two great touches. After the game, some people bitterly disputed that he'd touched the ball at...

Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

Hooper Pooper followed by the Pooper Scooper.

The reverse side of Kneehigh is his inexperience with the AB defensive systems. We may not have scorching pace but we have plenty of smarts out wide to try to exploit that.

People say it's a massive AB midfield, but in reality it's only a massive 12: Money Bill. Giteau has been tackling players that size all his career, since those are the men that other teams tend to run at a smallish 12. The problem, of course, is that Giteau's a low tackler and Williams is an...

The problem with JOC (James O'Connor) is that he sems to have lost his outrageous speed. He was much better at the Rebels than with the Reds.

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Also Tim Horan, although he (apparently) doesn't know anything about rugby since becoming a commentator.

    Excellent point.

I'll take that bet! All Blacks by 5.

I think Kepu and To'omua would be in a real starting team but your point's a good one.

The problem with Giteau at 10 is that he's been tried many times in that position and has come up short for the consistent reason that he runs sideways, and takes space from his outside runners. This is less of an issue in the northern hemisphere where backline play is much less direct, but...

Bledisloe #1 - AUS v NZL, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, August 8th

Cheika obviously thinks Mumm is better, and has reaffirmed that by selecting him to start. Whether he or the Internet is right is yet to be determined. The advantage the Internet has is that (like in quantum superposition) it picks every player in every position, and can therefore always claim...

That's fighting talk. The Internet will not be denied!

Foley's not a sub par defender.

The Tahs got that timing wrong most of this year. When they got it right, with big men coming round the corner at speed, they were much more convincing.

Complacent people always say they're not. Really complacent people cite their own mental state as the reason they're not, rather than the opposition.

Indeed. I agree that Simmons is our best lineout operator.

The reason Simmons has more lineout wins is because he calls himself more than most. The better measure there is how many they lose. The number per 80 minutes is dependent (obviously) on how many lineouts there are.
