Yeah, I agree formerflanker. Well executed, contestible boxkicks are a real weapon in any form of rugby.

During my university years, spent mainly in a residential college, a popular pasttime was stealing such things. Edit: the game was good too.

All three of the Amigos seem to share the same defects. They'd be written off as transient mistakes if they weren't celebrities, and especially sports celebrities, who are held to higher moral standards than their critics would ever contemplate for themselves. If the Internet was restricted...

The Foxniscenti said that it was the essential difference between Supe and test rugby. Game mamagement, they said. They've been drinking from the same Kool-Aid trough as Nick White and Will Genia, methinks.

Yeah, McCalman is definitely in the underrated category now.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Cooper was probably on the bench, and cerainly got onto the field, so Chieka could see more of him.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

In one sense it's about being good enough, but more accurately it's about the number of games that are (A) decided by missed kicks and (B) could be decided differently by different percentatges of missed kicks, e.g. by a 60% kicker vs. a 90% kicker. Being good enough gets you in and out of the...

I'm definitely in the "love him" camp with Quade. I'd pick him in form over any other flyhalf in the country, for the reasons you say. But my Quade love doesn't extend to picking him in tests when he's out of form, in the hope that he can play his way in. The idea that we can't win a world...

It would be a major surprise if Cheika picked Cooper for the Bled test. Foley was excellent today, except for his poor goal kicking. There's no reason why he can't steer a winning team in the RWC. It's not our flyhalf that will win or lose the RWC. It's the tight five. We have excellent...

The problem is that Cooper is way out of form. Beale claimed a bench spot today.

Gits is a low chance to start if To'omua is fit. It's daylight after To'omua to start at 12, although Beale today showed he's a good replacement off the bench. It's Foley, unfortunately. He has to up his game. He's kicked consistently before.

Exackerly. The Pumas are nobody's bunnies. Thankfully we're not theirs either.

I like your attitude. Grinding pessimism mixed with irritation.

The RC'll still come down to the Sydney test either way. If the Boks win then Sydney will decide a 3-way contest. If the ABs win then Sydney will decide a 2-way contest. Unles the Argies roll the Wallabies, which is alway possible.

I think Beefcake meant that Foley's the liability.

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

If Gits had managed to hit the 5m line with his kick then we'd have been a very good percentage chance to score.

Well, if we can replace what the captain says with our own narrative, then we can essentially say anything. I personally believe he was shooting for the passing gorgonzola factory.
