    Reds 2020

^^ Absolutely as a sole trader or a contractor he can apply off his own back for the same subsidies and maybe even a cash flow stimulus . He would just need to do it himself rather than the Reds as an employer. Guess if you see him at training , he might have been successful.

    Reds 2020

^ The issues of being a contractor as opposed to being employed. Would actually be surprised if him being a "contractor" stood up to scrutiny . He could have been eligible for "job keeper" has he been employed, might have even been better off.

Just read it , hope the “Picone Three” do as well and heed the advise.

    Reds 2020

Jim Tucker puts forward a possible explanation of the three’s stance in today’s CM. Basically states maybe the players ( player’s agent ) don’t believe that RA will be in any position even by next year to pay their contracts in full. So get out early and jump the que for a Japanese contract ...

    It’s a stand down , not a termination.

Got to ask what else they might have lost along the way. Haven’t t heard too many positive comments regarding the three.

^Yep guessing the manager isn't finding the smaller slice of pie palatable. What other options are these lads going to have available?

Two separate stories on Rugby Xplorer on SA players du Toit and Marx terminating contracts with their Super franchises as part of a cost cutting exercise for SA rugby . They are allowing a period of time for players to ask for termination of contracts with SA franchises in order to seek...

    Reds 2020

My post was more to point out if you can get a 100 cap Qlder as captain of the Tahs does it really mater where you were born? Players buy into team culture , they are passionate about the group and what it stands for . This is what Thorn has done very well , his players have “bought in” ...

    Reds 2020

Waratahs did make Simmons their captain this year , so where you are from and how passionate about the “state” you are representing seems to be of little concern anymore.

    Wallabies 2020

Agree , Hooper's "wider" , link abilities were a perfect complement to a dominant forward pack that the Tah's had in 2014. They could afford him not to be always hard on the ball. That same "style" of play drew some criticism when the Wallaby forward pack was getting pushed around and the...

And with JOC (James O'Connor) that makes a handy 10/12 combination for the Brethren. Not sure how much they will get to play in clubland if the domestic comp gets off the ground . But with Thor , Wilso , Fraser , Woods , Stewart and JOC (James O'Connor) they would be unbackable if available come finals time. Yours to lose RR !

    Wallabies 2020

Harry played all of his Schoolboy rugby as a lock and a lineout target. Petaia played most of his at fullback, so the foundations are there for both to fit the roles mentioned in this conversation. Having said that , Wright would be the best lineout target of the backrowers mentioned as...

Similar for my household Adam , although I have warned the kids the Foxtel subscription goes if Phil Kearns gets anywhere near the CEO gig for RA. Wallabies on FTA and use the savings to get to more Reds games ( in whatever format that might be ) .

    QLD Premier Rugby 2020

Groups of 10 allowed as of next week allows for a bit of “unofficial” training in smaller groups. Club training to start 2 weeks following . You would imagine they would build into full contact, it wouldn’t be safe any other way , particularly with scrums .

    Australian Rugby / RA

So providers like Fox Sport and Optus need sport of some form to have subscribers willing to part with their hard earned. NZ and Australia could well be the first to have pro rugby back up and running regardless of the clusterfuck that Is RA. NZ’s financials don’t look brilliant either with...

Not sure they would know yet , depends on what is allowed regarding gatherings by then I guess . There was some talk of limiting spectators to one parent/guardian per participant , but haven’t heard anything official , only what might be the case .

    QLD GPS Rugby 2020

Looks like GPS pushing ahead with sport for term 3 and including term 2 sports. Meaning basketball, football, rugby and tennis will all be played in term 3. Round 1 rugby due to kick off July 18. If it goes ahead will be interesting to see how the numbers stack up with soccer and rugby...
