Didn’t say he was from Brisbane, he spent three years at NC after being “noticed” playing for WA in the U15 Gold Cup . Played U16’s for Qld in 2017 , Qld Schoolboys 2018 and signed with the Brumbies during his final year at school after being in the Reds Academy before that . No doubt plenty...

Yep similar bung knee he carried through his senior year , kept him out of Aussie U18’s last year and had him in the rehab group in Reds preseason in the lead in to the 2020 season. He was very good for Wests last year and hope he stays fit .

I rate Carter and the Reds pathways have put a lot of faith in him . But he has been playing carrying injuries for the past couple of years . I don’t doubt his courage or his ability, but have concerns about him staying injury free long enough to be the solution to who plays 10 for the Reds...

Noticed on the Brumbies 2021 thread that Reg also kicked off that Reesjan Pasitoa off contract with the Brumbies. Could be a great long term option for the Reds at 10 if they can get him back up to Brisbane.

Yep, a lot will depend on a broadcast deal and if RA manage to get some test match rugby played in Oct/Nov. Without cash being generated could be a few more joining the last three on the list.

Talk of broadcast details might spike some interest. Reports saying the NRL are expecting a potential world wide audience of up to 300 million for this week's opening round. With very little other sport happening, we could see big numbers tuning in to whatever format the broadcast ends up...

^ we also had no shortage of height out on the field in the games played this year, but at times our lineout was appalling. We need a functioning lineout , not predetermined height requirement.

Will Chaffey also back on the scene after a year off to get his shoulder right. Keen to see how he goes this year . Another young lock that could make the step up is Hugh Bokenham from last year’s Aussie U18’s team , he and Tom Hooper were two of the best on the field in the NZ game .

First two weeks are trials . Round 1 is August 15 , play everyone once and one bye .

Tom’s at UQ , played the preseason at lock in Prems . He is tall , but would be under the 2m mark , mid 190’s at a guess .

^ I actually hope they do play, but for the clubs they normally play for , not the club the brother of their manager coaches.

Off the Reds website Blyth 204cm LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) 198cm Uru 197cm Wilson 195cm ASY (Angus Scott-Young) 194cm Wright 194cm Wood 192cm The player weights do seem a little off Uru down as 104kgs Wright as 101kgs Wilson as 106kgs , pretty sure Harry was heavier than that at school and he has definitely...

The other set piece that needs to be considered is scrums . The locks have a big roll in that as well . Both Wilso and Woods have the body mass and scrummaging technique to hold their side of the scrum. If you have three of Wright, Wilson , one of the starting locks and ASY (Angus Scott-Young) out there , does it...

^Not for me Reg Both first year out of school, Dion got the nod ahead of Mac in the Aussie U18's last year ( and Reds as well ) , but Mac was starting at 15 in Prems for UQ in the preseason this year and killing it. Was very impressive in the few games played. Pretty sure Dion was mostly...

Guess the fact they signed Mac means they are not looking for a #10. Mac’s preferred position is 15 , but can play most outside back positions, he is more a ball runner than a ball player.

They can’t long term , the stand down rules only apply to situations of hardship outside of the employer’s control such as the current global pandemic. It would be QC (Quade Cooper) all over again.

Would guess at Gilmore being a possibility ? Couldn't imagine he would be over busy with Junior Wallaby preparation currently. Think he is still based in Brisbane?
