The success of League players in Rugby Union

what kind of sad vindictive person would want converts to fail. I can understand if their name is JOC (James O'Connor) but otherwise who give a fuck. I find it quite interesting to track a player's progress in a new sport. It's a unique part of the Aussie sporting landscape; the fact that we get to see guys...

Chiefs vs Waratahs - Super Rugby Round 16 2014

maybe. I think Aus teams generally don't perform to their potential in NZ. The Reds are the only team that have in recent times performed well across the ditch. I point to the Blues game as a sad example of an OZ team losing in NZ, even when they clearly had the ability to win.

Chiefs vs Waratahs - Super Rugby Round 16 2014

I'll predict a Chiefs win. The Tahs performed poorly in Auckland against the blues. That was a game they should have won. I expect the same result here.

Not directed at you Braveheart. directed at Hoolly Doolly and Seb v's comments. Although the last paragraph on my comment is probably relevant to your response to Seb v. In comparing the recent performances of Kuridrani and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), its fair to point out the attacking opportunities the tahs outside...

Re Folau, I would like to see him add an Up and Under kick and chase to his repertoire. He is so good under the highball he needs to learn how to use that skill un the counterattack, if the chance presents itself

I cant believe some of you are saying that Cummins has fallen down the pecking order. He is in great form. Played with a lot of heart and aggression on the weekend (horror kick aside). I want to see him in Green and Gold. If his form was poor I'd be happy to consider alternatives, but his form...

Comments from Link re kicking duties are interesting. They suggest to me that Link clearly saw Lilo as an important part of the 23 due to his kicking form. That's probably changed on current form. It's a real shame Lilo is not playing 10 for the brumbies atm. Perhaps he should have signed with...

I have great faith in Link to get the most out of players like Horwill and Genia

Genia hasn't been playing as well as we know he can, but it's unfair to say he's been playing like a bucket of shit. His form has been average. He's done some good stuff and some bad stuff, in a team that has been playing poorly. White has been in good form in a side generally in good form.

So a few thoughts from this round. - most of the wallabies played well this weekend. - Horne is in great form. Right now I have him neck and neck with McCabe for a bench spot. I'd probably still give it to McCabe for his extra versatility - TPN outplayed Moore for the first time this season. -...

The Wallabies will play an attacking brand of rugby. I think it's widely accepted that the main reason Jake White didn't get the job was the style of rugby he'd want to play. McKenzie last week said that this season he will be focusing on improving the Wallabies defence, which is great but...

    Rebel v Tahs, round 15 2014

my favourite part of the game was Horne's try...bumping off woodward at the end was impressive.

nice to see TPN play so well last night. was solid at set piece and continually got the tahs over the advantage line. Reminded me that when he's on he's a very valuable asset to the team

Agree with a lot of this. Horne really appears to be in the form of his life. I did think Palu probably won a points decision against Higgers, but to be honest it was pretty tough to compare their performances when the tahs were going forward for 80% of the game. Higgers work rate was pretty...

Simmons also loves the "aimlessly loitering offside at the ruck" penalty

I would actually say Genia is still short odds to start for the Wallabies. And a lot of people seem to agree - Greg Growden, Tim Horan, George Gregan, etc. Keeping in mind that Wallabies will play a different style to the Brumbies. I think Genia suits the Wallabies style of play better.
