    Waratahs 2024

You don't think the new biennial tournament from 2026 pretty much eliminate any chance for tour matches? Every test nation will be playing three tests in July won't they? Maybe in the Lions year when we don't get a France series

    Waratahs 2024

It's pretty unique circumstance - only a two test series. Australia is playing Georgia in Sydney on the same weekend. New Zealand is playing Fiji. Japan is playing Italy. Wales would normally have a third test, or find another international team to play, but they are all already booked. It's...

Tom Banks come off his huge Japan contract at the end of the year doesn't he? Does this leave budget at RA and Reds for a home coming?
  6. Strewthcobber

    Queensland Reds 2024

Australia would be pretty likely to run out a bit of a dirt tracker team for the Georgia game wouldn't they?
  7. Strewthcobber

    Queensland Reds 2024

Rumours are, he has a pretty big offer from Japanese rugby, and RA couldn't (wouldn't?) get close to it, so haven't even entered into negotiations. This is an NRL v Japan battle for his signature now

    Queensland Reds 2024

That's kind of the problem though isn't it..... Despite his obvious talents, he's started 20 out of 48 matches since his debut at the WC and only around half the Red's games You probably aren't getting a huge amount of value for money

Round 3: Reds vs Chiefs, 6:45pm AEST - Saturday 9th of March @ Suncorp

76:20. Match winning play from HMP and Ryan. In place to defend the break down the left and then try saving tackle all the way in the right hand corner. Amazing desperation

Round 3: Reds vs Chiefs, 6:45pm AEST - Saturday 9th of March @ Suncorp

Full credit to the Red's defence and discipline at the end there, but what were the chiefs doing? They seemed like they were trying to kill the clock with slow one off hit-ups for 3 minutes. Didn't really challenge the Reds at all. Was the plan just to get a random penalty somehow?

Round 3 Brumbies v Force Canberra 9 March

C'mon mate, he is no where near a realistic position to gather the ball. You can't just stick your hand up and say you were close to touching it and smash in to a reciever And we then see exactly why the rule exists. It's dangerous. The receiver nearly lands on his head from 3m+ in the air...

Round 3 Brumbies v Force Canberra 9 March

You have to be smarter than what Potter was. If the opposition is lifting a second rower, and you are jumping you are almost never going to be in a position to regather(that's why receiving teams do it). The chance of a penalty or yellow/red card is huge From a kickoff, it's a pretty dumb...

Round 3 Brumbies v Force Canberra 9 March

Potter was not in a realistic position to gather the ball (Swain is at least 1m above him and being lifted)

Round 3 Brumbies v Force Canberra 9 March

Brumbies lineout has been quite awful. For a team full of Wallaby forwards it's pretty bad

Super Rugby 2024: NZ, Drua & Moana matches

Just looking at Super Rugby, he's on 5 wins from 22 matches.

From the AFR story on the overspend. https://www.afr.com/companies/sport/wallabies-review-into-woeful-performance-delivers-23-recommendations-20240226-p5f7yv We can't have spent $20m on this campaign can we? Surely not

Booking in the ticker tape parades was classic Eddie planning. Always so thorough. thinks of everything. His 24/7 overtime timesheet charges were a little over the top though. But the man never sleeps
