    Wallabies 2024

I reckon the plan will be for Lynagh to start the next three games, and then he'll get a rest for the Highlanders match at Suncorp after getting through the Moana Pacifica match in NZ. They are managing both these young guy's loads pretty closely, which is good to see

    Proposed Nations Championship

How does it work, given the whole point is that every team plays the other 11 teams each year the PNC (Pacific Nations Cup) is on? (2026, 2028, 2030......) So for us in Australia, * 3 games v NH in July, * 5 games against SH in Aug/Sep, * 3 games against NH in Nov Do we just not play the H&A games for TRC in those...

    Refereeing decisions

Unfortunately (as per usual) it doesn't appear to be quite that simple BH. The laws define what you need to do to be behind the offisde line, which is where the "hands in front" gets a bit grey.

    Refereeing decisions

No difference in the laws as to what the opposition can do whether it's a place kick or drop kick. It is different in sevens, and I have vague memories of a law trial here recently where what you said applied, but I think that was only for a limited amount on time in one comp

Super Rugby: Rd 4, 2024. NSW Waratahs v The Auckland Blues

Tahs ball carrier was a bit isolated and did an extra roll while holding the ball to prevent the Blues from jackling.

    Refereeing decisions

I didn't see the specific ones you are referencing, but I thought it wasn't so much that they were offside, it's that they aren't on their feet. From the definitions in the lawbook

Round 4: Highlanders v Brumbies. Sat 2.35PM AEDT @ Forsyth Barr, Dunedin

That's a sensational win away in NZ for the Brumbies. Got it done playing ugly. Really gets their season going now. Toole with a world class finish and van Nek really iced the game with his scrum work in front of his posts with 5 mins to go.

    Wallabies 2024

2 tests against Wales and then Georgia. All of these guys will get a run in gold

Round 4 : Rebels v Reds. Friday Night (Melbourne)

He's clearly very good. But watch the two Chief's tries last week as well as the winger's try just after half time last night and Ekuasi's charge through before the try around 54min. Wilson didn't make an effective tackle on any of them. The tries aren't his fault but I think even he would...

Round 4 : Rebels v Reds. Friday Night (Melbourne)

He's not blameless, but he sure wouldn't be too happy with his half back for some of the passes.

Round 4 : Rebels v Reds. Friday Night (Melbourne)

Wilson is deadly with the ball, but I reckon his defence, particularly close to the line isn't at international #8 standard yet and probably why he hasn't been getting much time in gold

Round 4 : Rebels v Reds. Friday Night (Melbourne)

The Red's lineout mail is an absolute weapon now. Must be just about the best in the comp. Any intel as to who is coaching that?

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

RA made it a contractual part of the broadcast deal, and accepted less money from the broadcaster to get it on FTA. Nine/Stan don't want us watching on FTA, they want us paying $30/month on Stan

    Wallabies 2024

Should also include the fact he was known to be incredibly hard to work for, and had a proven record of churning through assistants. Not exactly heaps of people breaking down his door

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Qld v NSW on 24 Feb was on Nine main channel (at least in Qld and NSW) It came 25th on the night with 166k

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

@JRugby2 where do you find that overnight sports report rating data? Do you have to pay for it?

    Concussions and Protecting Our Players

RIP Billy This is a pretty terrifying paragraph for contact sports everywhere.

    Queensland Reds 2024

I don't think we can discount how much trust was burned up through EJ (Eddie Jones)'s shenanigans last year either. RA has a lot of disgruntled employees at the moment, especially the rugby players
  19. Strewthcobber

    Queensland Reds 2024

Lucas started but got injured in the semi didn't he? Early in the first half?
  20. Strewthcobber

    Queensland Reds 2024

QC (Quade Cooper) got himself suspended, Ben Lucas got injured early on and we ended up playing Genia at 10 IIRC in that semi. No chance once that happened and Freddie Michalack got going at 10 for the Sharks
