    Wallabies 2023

My guess is Eddie wants to see him get through the game. It’s a bit of a risk to give him a spot in the 23 and then he blows the calf again during the game. Bell is a bit different as surgeons have literally removed the issue, well that’s my understanding anyway. He just has to get fit.

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

BR has written him off but everyone else is pretty philosophical about it.

    Wallabies v Argentina @ CommBank Stadium 7.45pm Sat 15/07

Agree, I think it will be Frost, and he might even be trialled at 6.

    Wallabies v Argentina @ CommBank Stadium 7.45pm Sat 15/07

Although he was largely anonymous on Sunday (lineout excepted), so was the rest of the pack and I think he has to start this weekend so Eddie can get a proper look at him.

July Internationals 2023 - matches not involving Australia

    That doesn’t look like fun.

    RWC jerseys

It would but they would look like soccer players. Hoops is the answer.

    RWC jerseys

This right here is the most obvious solution to the problem - make the away jersey hooped. In this instance they perhaps should have gone green and white or something, but as long as they are 2 contrasting colours it solves the issue right?

    Wallabies 2023

But this is just totally subjective. On a similar note M Hooper missed a few but mostly because he was one of the only players attempting to make them. Someone else asked if there is a stat for tackle attempts, it would be interesting to see that one. For the record, I don’t think anyone is...

Sounds like Bell playing but no word on Tupou

    Wallabies v Argentina @ CommBank Stadium 7.45pm Sat 15/07

Yes, I wasn't talking about 'never again' for these players, only that they probably had to show something special to make it to France. T Hooper and Nonggorr are definitely ones for the future, I wasn't meaning to write them off forever.

    Wallabies v Argentina @ CommBank Stadium 7.45pm Sat 15/07

I don't think he will bring new players into the squad for this game unless there is a gaping hole that needs too be filled. He'll likely just sit out the blokes he doesn't want another look out, those ones probably being Uelese, Nongorr, T Hooper and Vunivalu. The potential omission of...

I agree. He almost said as much.

    Wallabies 2023

Considering how Zane went, highly likely pending the fitness of Tupou

    Wallabies 2023

It's not dropping him, I am just working off Eddie's comments that a lot of the guys who started against the Boks would be rested/on the bench for this weekend's game. It's mostly about seeing what Gordon can do so start McDermott/Gordon with White/Cooper on the bench. It's an attempt at...

    Wallabies 2023

I don't think getting beaten by Italy is even close to doing 'reasonably well'. I thought Rennie deserved to take us through to the RWC this year but if Eddie was their man then I can also see why RA needed to pounce when they did. Don't forget all Rennie's assistants had started to bail out...

    Wallabies 2023

Yes and no. The caveat has to be that they are up to test rugby, many aren‘t. But let’s go through the exercise anyway - this is very off the cuff and i’m happy to be overruled. Someone asked for the Team of the Year (based off the team of the week) to be revealed, it’s no doubt a better...

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

I don't think anyone is claiming they were easy kicks but the question was why Quade wasn't kicking the conversions, Hodge is usually confined solely to the long range ones that no-one else has a chance in hell of getting.

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

Yeah look I'm not as down on it as I could be, it seems Eddie was giving the majority of Rennie's selections the benefit of the doubt with a bit of experimentation thrown in. He will now have a better idea which players will fit into his game plan and whatever the plan was at altitude last...

That is true but at least we know physicality is a strong aspect of Jed’s game.
