Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

T Hooper was good in the lineout but got found out around the paddock. Might be long term solution at 6, but not this year for mine. He needed to knock it out of the park to displace Holloway and/or Leota.

I was hoping Latu might have been our saviour but the fact he ended up playing club rugby rules a line through him. Vailanu, not this year.

I have no problems with Richie Arnold getting another shot at sea level next week, maybe even start him, but I’m certainly not penning him into our RWC squad just yet.

I liked that QWERTY except Porecki is bigger than Faessler, so that’s not the right angle to drop him. After putting myself through the pain of a second watch I thought M Hooper was one of the few players that tried his heart out last night so gave him 2 points, the game plan whatever it was...

    Wallabies 2023

I assume Fez is Faessler? No problems with giving him a crack next week but anointing him as captain before he has even made his debut is a bit premature. Good post otherwise.

    Wallabies 2023

He’s got R Lonergan as the benchie, but I would not drop Tate either.

That one actually went forward though.

I dont care about that, the ’second string springboks’ thing was going to get wheeled out win lose or draw, especially by Fox.

It’s either that or waiting for Lonergan to grow a few inches. Hooker is a massive problem for us, we are literally looking for ways to polish turds.

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

I’m going to leave the coach out of this, as well as the garbage being thrown at our incumbent and best ever players. Flogging teams in Pretoria is SOP for the Boks, I don’t know why they play anywhere else. As for the experimental players: 16. Uelese - throws shit but at least that is...

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

from what I’ve picked up elsewhere Q51 has been in the envious position of having a son in the U20s team and has thus been enjoying South Africa for a couple of weeks. Lucky man and such an honour.

I’m with you, avoiding all media from about 6am until I finishing watching.

    Wallabies 2023

I’m not sure why we would be wearing anything other than our first kit unless someone has some mail that the Boks are going to turn up in yellow. If we are wearing the ‘away’/indigenous design kit that is normally flagged in advance. As for the result, I agree it will be close and I think we...

    Aussie Player Exodus

They could probably have written a better headline that portrays him as being eager to enhance his future prospects for the Wallabies by playing in the best club comp in the world, rather than making it sound like he has some entitlement and had a dummy spit about not getting selected in the...

    Wallabies 2023

If they were all in the 23 I would agree with you but only 2 of them are. I suspect the idea is to give them minutes in the 5 games between now and the RWC. I guess Eddie wants those guys training with the squad rather than at a gym back home and it seems the squad for these first 2 games is...

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Regardless of the opinions around their selections, a fun fact is there are two pairs of brothers selected in the same jerseys for the Wallabies and the junior Wallabies on the same day. I wonder if that’s ever happened before.

    Wallabies 2023

I pondered on that post for a while. I can find Quade, who I think needs to prove he is able to perform at the top level now, and Kerevi on the bench, which seems somewhat conservative. That is all.

    Wallabies 2023

I’ll be happy to see him go well, being a Central West NSW product.

Its Lachlan Lonergan. And probably McInerney and Pollard behind him.
