Not necessarily the scrap heap, just parked till after the RWC.

    Wallabies 2023

They used to play in the 7s circuit a bit in the 90s. I don't think they were an official 'team' like the Classic Wallabies, I remember playing against Dave Carter and Richard Tombs amongst others once.

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

He's been a standout the last couple of seasons, but at 8.

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

I'm not being critical of either, it's the apparent complete omission of Holloway from even the bench that leaves us a bit undermanned in the lineout department. If Doran's lineup is correct Frost is the only notable lineout target in the starting side, he is relatively inexperienced at this...

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

We haven't had a #6 who has for a very long time, Fardy was probably the most recent. The issue is that the omission of a lineout specialist for a player who the Brumbies didn't even use in the lineout in the final leaves us a bit thin in that department.

    NSW AAGPS 2023

Yep there was GPS 1, 2 & 3, NSW Schools and a shadow side, and Australian Schoolboys. That was it. From memory U18s not at school were still eligible for the rep sides but had to have done the school certificate (year 10). In my year we went a long way in the Waratah Shield which were mostly...

    Definitely JS White at Kings

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

Around 5pm tomorrow I believe, unless you are in the camp that believes Christy Doran has already announced it. I’m not saying he’s wrong but a couple of selections seem a bit odd such as Hodge at 12 when Foketi is available and Holloway being left out when Frost is the only noted line out...

    RWC jerseys

Whilst I don't mind the design of the Boks away jersey there, presumably they are most likely to wear it when they are playing Ireland, and that one probably clashes even more with theirs. That said I don't know which team is given home status for that match.

    Wallabies 2023

Yeah I was going to re-reply to Wilson, I think his (and your) recollection of events may have been more accurate than my own. I had him as a Kellaway type of improver but having scoured the wiki universe it seems he was back a good while longer than I had recalled.

    Wallabies 2023

Definitely improved overseas. I think he was playing for the rebels before he left. Came back to the Tahs after 4-5 years overseas, maybe a year or two later selected for Wallabies.

    Wallabies 2023

He left as a good player and came back as a shit one. I know like those in the list above he didn’t get selected from overseas, but the bloke who has come back as a far better player compared to when he left is Lalakai Foketi.

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

That is the default introduction but with 4 games till the world cup starts we need to test him against the best.

    NSW AAGPS 2023

Is it better than JS White at Kings? Which is the worst out of Scots and Riverview.

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

Yeah I think we need to run him out off the bench against Sth Africa and/or NZ to see if he cuts the mustard. We can cover his lack of versatility by also having someone like Hodge or Kellaway on the bench (assuming they aren't starters).

    RWC jerseys

I actually don't know why they frig around with jersey designs so much. If it aint broke, don't fix it. For me, the '91 jersey probably with the current Wallabies logo, green collar, plain green shorts and the hooped socks. I know Ella has the Adidas stripes, but do away with them, just go plain.

Ok fair enough, I see what you are getting at now. @Marce might be the best to answer that on this forum

    RWC jerseys

Does there need to be one? As far as I know Argentina doesn't have any real indigenous ties - I think in South America that is more Amazon/Brazil/Venezuela etc ie to the north. Regardless, if we decided to use our away jersey to honour say our WW1 diggers, would that be queried? Sure there...

Yes, I have retracted my earlier criticism. I still don't have to like it but I do respect it's symbolism.
