It’s a new squad and a new coach. The only player who could expect to be dropped(to the bench) is FF (Folau Fainga'a). But I reckon Rennie will give him a shot at redemption, and rightly so. It should be the same starting 15 with Petaia and Wright coming onto the bench in place of Lolesio and Valetini.

SAMU was ho hum? Take another look............in slow motion. He reads the play so well and was in everything. He’s one of those that get through a mountain of work without being flashy most of the time. Replacing him would be a big mistake and I am sure that Rennie knows it. The backrow had...

They certainly gave it a good nudge.

Valetini spilt the pill cold the last time on the half way line when we were looking for another penalty opportunity. He was OK but looked a bit shell shocked by the pace.

Valetini looked a little off the pace. Could not blame him as he came on and almost straight into that frenetic crazy 8 minutes. If LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) is moving to 6 and playing out the 80 then for sure Wright or McReight on the bench makes more sense. But you cannot underestimate what it takes to stop those...

Bledisloe 2 at Eden Park 18/10/20

He was great. Took every high ball well, made yards in traffic, secured the ball in the tackle and his positional play was excellent. He had limited opportunity in attack but we all know that he also has speed and a great swerve. He aimed up I all the areas he was suspect before. Looks like he...

    No comment on Fainga'a?

I would switch Uelese and FF (Folau Fainga'a). This will shore up the scrum and Uelese is more productive in general play. Having the starting Brums front row in the second half to bring us home will be nice. The Rebels line out was the best in SRAU. On the bench I might bring in Hosea for Simmons and Petaia for...

I think it has to be for Lolesio. His time can come back in Oz.

I don’t think that is fair on any of them. White was outstanding, poking around the fringes and keeping the ABs honest. SAMU was busy at the breakdown and in defence, doing a lot of the unseen work. I thought Banks was assured under the high ball but did not get involved in the attack enough...

Yes, but there was only one bad call. The showboat knock on was pretty obvious. Ioane has had that coming for some time.

And the one when he put his foot on the line?

In most of the games where the Brumbies scrum has been under pressure Slipper has come on and steadied the ship. He just has to hold his own and let TT go to work. We have pretty decent front row stocks at the moment. I will be interested to see how FF (Folau Fainga'a) goes, if he’s stronger now in general play...

I reckon Paisami might thrive outside of To'omua and with genuine fire power across the back three. He has a nose for a gap and carries through contact like a much bigger player. To'omua will be leading the defence. Looking for a big game from Paisami.

Hodge on the bench is good under the high ball if it becomes a problem

DHP looked in rough shape in his last game. They will not play him unless he is 100% as there are other similar options. If Petaia is out we need some real fire power in midfield and Paisami is the only one who can provide it.

    Wallabies 2020

That could work. One would think it will be pretty close to that. I would like to see Uelese start, To'omua at 12 and Wright at 6.

If you have 2 accomplished 8s why would you need your bench player to also be an 8? Samu is the best bench option.
