Don’t need Simone on the bench with 3 starting centres. Better to have Lolesio if fit. DHP is at 15 or not at all. Better off to have Daugunu or Ramm. Hodge wears 23.

Hodge should be there first as a contender for 15 and then as a bench utility back. He was good last week. Safe, big boot and takes excellent options. Maddocks and Banks are inconsistent and DHP is injured. Maddocks has a chance to jump ahead if he continues his good form.

Magnay has looked good this year. Could be a back up option to Jordy at 13?

    Wallabies 2020

He might be a bit small. Good player though.

He does turn up but his top end is limited. Petaia in form is definitely an upgrade.

Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

Magnay was very good. It should go to him this week.

Dempseys problem is lack of consistency. He can put in a good performance like yesterday and then look totally disinterested the following week. I see he and Samu as very similar players with Samu way ahead on the pecking order.

I should qualify that by saying Uelese has a much higher potential level than the other two in his size, strength and skill. He’s been coasting.

Looking at those numbers you would have to agree. I’m not a big fan of BPA in general play but he has been good over the past couple of games. Fainga'a has been going pretty well. Uelese needs to get his frame in the game a bit more. He has the strength and weight required but his work rate needs...

    Wallabies 2020

I would like to see a starting backrow of 6. Valetini 7. Hooper 8. Wilson with Samu on the bench. That might be tough on Naisarani but he or whoever misses out will get time over 4 games no doubt. Rennie will chop and change a bit until he finds the right mix. Injuries as always will have...

    Wallabies 2020

Hooper, Wilson, Wright, Naisarani and probably a few others will not stop or slow down until the final whistle. I doubt that work rate is going to be an issue with this years back row.

    Wallabies 2020

Yes, some assumptions being being made by me. As said, Wright has been excellent and Rodda heart was not in it for whatever reason. It would be good to coax him back.

    Wallabies 2020

Skelton looks the goods from afar but is still not a great lineout option. I’d take Arnold and Rodda. Rodda has not been treated well at the Reds since BT arrived, for whatever reason? Him leaving Oz was probably more about him leaving Qld. He still has a big future in Oz rugby. He was a lay...

Koribete will be one of the first picked

    Wallabies 2020

Yes, Kellaway has been excellent. Will Harrison has been the best all around young 10 when you consider he has been playing behind a mullered pack. Both should be in the squad.

After this last weekends play there is a very real possibility that the Wallabies squad will be picked on Super Rugby form to date. What 23 would you go with right now?

Reds v Bulls, Rnd 7 2020 Suncorp Stadium 6:15pm AEST

That sure is a wishy washy interview from Thorn on Rodda. He has also been uncertain when interviewed in recent times. Is it possible that all is not well there?
  19. Joe Blow

    Wallabies 2020

Yes, if JOC (James O'Connor) and a To'omua start then maybe there is good reason to include Hodge on the bench to adequately cover 12-15, and he has that big cannon boot and can kick goals. We forget but he is also still pretty young.

    Wallabies 2020

Of course. That’s half of the fun. My point was that theirs, and most likely ours, will change over time.
