RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

Makes me feel like chanting the BBC fishing forecast.

I'll take this Genia. More good than bad.

    I have outstanding sperm motility.

Not mine, Cardiffblue. I'm an Aussie. :-) But my son is Cornish.

They do. An oggy is a pasty. The pasty sellers used to shout Oggy oggy oggy! down the tin mines. The miners used to shout back Oi oi oi!

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

Oggy oggy oggy! My son's Cornish rugby team used to chant that before games.

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

Fiji have a devestating shove. Lots of fast-twitch athletes in the scrum.
  8. Groucho

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

The Internet needs a universal icon for irony.

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

Because last year we were a team divided, that had just been through the painful loss of a coach on tour, while the new coach was struggling to implement a new gameplan on tour, using someone else's selections? Because England are now the team divided, unable to settle on a starting XV, trying...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

That doesn't mean that Simmons is the only one with the intellectual gifts to learn. It seems to me (as a back) that having two or more strong callers in the Wallaby setup would be a major advantage, in the event that Albert Oppensimmons is ever injured. That would require planning! Perhaps...

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

Well, all that may be right. I was just correcting your point about Beale running the backline, which was wrong.
  12. Groucho

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

Can't agree with that. Foley played at first receiver off structured play most of the time. Beale played the unstructured playmaker role, suiting his particular strengths. Foley ran the backline and called the plays, not Beale. Cheika would hardly be using Foley in that role now if Beale did...

"So, if we’re throwing stones about illegality, the shackle draggers ought to remember that they live in a house the size of the Palm House in Kew Gardens." :p

Ridiculous Comments from the GAGR Front Page

Better to have them barking in the front yard than barking in the house. A far better source of mentalism is the Roar front page.

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

Not many international backlines are breaking the line much these days. Not even the ABs in this tournament. Individual brilliance and the counterratack seem to be the main source of dazzling tries. Defences seem to have improved.
  16. Groucho

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

All things considered, that's the 15 I'd pick. The 23 is more important in the new way of things. If only Quade had got his act together in time. Him in imperious form would change the equation. As it stands, in the forwards, I think we've got two of the stars of the tournament already in...

RWC: FIJ v WAL (Millenium): POOL A

That's poetry, plastic paddy. I completely agree. The best stadium, with the best atmosphere in the world.
