RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

Admittedly this was under a high ball he kicked himself:

The great thing about Tomane is that he has real gas and can break open a defence on his own. I'm a big fan. Boot on him like a wet lettuce though.

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

We have to be careful. This is going to be a harder game than England methinks. We could easily lose if we're not on song.

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

That's if Folau is injured. Beale is an excellent substitute fullback. Seems like a sensible option.

I didn't realise he was facing the death penalty! Stop posting pictures of Henry VIII please.

MCMAHON! Direct, like-for-like replacement. Play the same game on the ground with the same width, exactly as we mean to go on. McCalman is good but he doesn't quite provide that. McCalman also has a role to play as a finisher. Beale for Folau and Mitchell for Horne as required. Although I...

You're right. It's another example of World Rugby's woolly language. (If I was a Kiwi I'd find that last sentence sexy.) (Hey that's a business idea - a phone sex line where New Zealand chicks read woolly language from the Rugby Laws. "Momentum". "Red card threshold.")

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

It would've been asshole-puckering time if he'd been carded, although we were well ahead at the time. Our worst period of the game came after that regardless. We'd probably have played much tighter with 14 men.

Which you've just done. People shutting down Internet discussions always accuse the other side of being about to introduce the Nazis. And they generalise!

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

I think it's a generally accepted practise (if enshrined nowhere in the laws) for referees to err on the side of caution when issuing red cards, and for the citing process to take up the deterrent slack. Personally I'm very happy with that. I'd much rather see citings for punishement than red...

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

I wouldn't mind the McCock. Like others have said, McMahon deserves it. Hard to believe he's still a kid. What'll he be like when he grows up?

"Dickhead ill-discipline" is your opinion. Repeating it several times doesn't make you right. Of all the rugby nations, Australia is amongst the cleanest. When was Hooper cited in Super Rugby? I'm not saying he wasn't: I'd just like to know when. If he was, then he was cleared.

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

I was being gentle when I said "hyperbole". Sanchez's dive in the Argie test was the first yellow of Hooper's career at any level of the game, and even that was as sniffy as hell. Hooper's a scrupulously clean player. You're not making a constructive criticism: you're making things up.

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

Excellent hyperbole! "Dickhead ill-discipline" isn't "creeping back in", and Hooper isn't "becoming rather a serial offender". Are you English, or has the recent outbreak of solidarity gotten under your bonnet?

Maaaate, my home's in Queensland and I live and work in WA. Not sure who this "You" and "We" are.

This still is like a movie in its own right. It has so many delicious subplots.

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

I dunno. I'd take both their locks, Vermuelen (playing at 6), Du Preez, Pollard (until last weekend, maybe still) and both centers.

Wales is too strong for any kind of walkover. They're a level up from England, as they proved by beating them. This'll probably go like almost all Wales vs. Oz games: down to the last quarter, or to the final minutes, or to the final moments.
