Jaysus. That squad hasn't seen some soap in a while!

100% agreed. But it's not really about bonus points. It's about assigning blame. The scapegoats are milling in the starter paddock of the id, and the blame jockeys are scrambling to find a last-minute seat. This might be the last chance that anyone has to moan about going for the posts about...

Do you work for the English rugby press, brokendown? That's what they've been intoning all year. Also, England have already denied Wales a bonus point. It's not as bad as you think!:)

It's hard to imagine a team meeting in which Cheika says "Right, we're going to negate all our advantages by playing in the center of the field, to compensate for their fatties' lack of pace, and kicking to their fast back three, who have no chance of getting the ball otherwise."

Stately, plump Nick Easter came from the breakdown, bearing a bowl of lather on which a mirror and a razor lay crossed.

Why the Wallabies will thrash England Chris Rattue "The bookies have England as favourites but they are calculating with a hole in the head because England have a bolt through the neck. They are the Frankenstein of world rugby, a scientific experiment with an ugly result. Their creators have...

Although his gnomic analysis of QC (Quade Cooper) is a bit, er, gnomic: "The Wallabies can’t win a World Cup with him at 10 but they won’t get out of the pool without him."

We still have to beat the Poms. Second place in the pool is no good.

Foley had no problems catching the ball against the Highlanders. The problem was that the Tahs had only Foley to kick, and they successfully pinned him down on the wrong side of the field. The Wobs have a left and right foot kicking combination at the back, with Giteau and Foley.

I care all the time, Seb. But I'm a listy kind of autistic geek.

Yeah, but we have a left-right kicking pair now in Foley and Giteau, so trapping Foley on his wrong foot (which England exploited very well last time) isn't a problem.

We could go to 1 if we win and New Zealand is rumbled early.

What is it with Pommy rugby writers? This is from the aptly named Andy Bull on the same site: Um, yeah.

I've got my Fiji jersey ready for Thursday. Actually it's a white polo on which I've artistically drawn Fiji's markings.

Even if we lose and qualify second, we have close to an unwinnable world cup. A: we've lost to England, and B: we then have to face a succession of teams who may well be better than England. The Pool A winner has a comparative dream run to the final. We have to best England and win the pool.

If we can't beat England then we can't win the world cup. If we can't beat England in their current form, then we're probably also behind New Zealand, the Boks, Ireland, Wales and France. I'm going to assume we can until we don't.
