    Shute Shield 2014

Go back a few pages (p 45) -- I think I accidentally (;)) outed him, assuming the team sheet was correct.

Are you telling me they don't monitor every post on this forum? Are we wasting our time? ;)

Not sure too many people on THIS forum bag the sport -- just the administration or lack thereof.

Maybe they'd like to run the SS :D

You took the words right out of my mouth (with apologies to Mr Meatloaf).

I said the same thing last Saturday. It's unbelievably unprofessional that the bodies which run rugby (ie NSWRU and SRU) cannot provide a program at SS games and rely instead on a third party which they are apparently not even prepared to provide financial assistance to. The Rugby News website...

I thought he retired. Maybe playing for Uni in the SS counts as "retired" ;)

Does the "1 minute from when the kicking tee comes on" rule apply in the SS?

Well done! Couldn't get a coffee that quickly at Chatswood on Saturday

That's Oli Nicholson, 1st year out of Colts. Big ask for him to step into 1st grade.

Anyone from Uni know whether this guy is the same John Rudd who plays with London Irish?

We have another problem looming with Horwitz's potential involvement in the U20's squad: Preparation Tournament 22/4 to 4/5 Assembly Camp 20 to29/5 World Cup 30/5 to 21/6 If he's selected he will only be available for 2-3 more games between now and the end of June. Who will play 10 in firsts...

Maybe his job at Scots pays more than at the Wicks ;)

I agree, the players always take the ultimate responsibility as good teams should be able to adjust to the conditions regardless of what they may have been told to do. There were some crazy decisions being made out there on Saturday which left me unconvinced about Wigg's leadership also, but...

You (and Refugee) may be right, but if the players were sent out with the game plan they played to then the coach/s deserve criticism. Over the last 2 years every time we've played on a wet track we've still tried to play a dry weather game. If you keep doing the same things but expecting...

Yep, couldn't agree more. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the Gordon coaching staff gave a simple instruction to his players before the game: "Tackle, tackle, tackle and Randwick will not have a plan B in the wet." We passed up very kickable shots at goal and then took a kick from 40 metres...

Good call Hugh, worth a trip to Chatswood to see how he goes. I'm looking forward to it.

Pete, you should be a coach -- let's just take it a game at a time ;) BTW, we shouldn't take Gordon and Penrith for granted either. They are going to surprise some team this year.

Yes, but then we meet Eastwood at TGMilner. Can't remember the last time we won there!
