I'm a founding member of the Tom Hiddleston fan club so I agree completely with bringing him up to firsts. Good defence (great one-on-one tackle on a flying winger again last week), good in attack and kicked 6 out of 6 in the driving wind last weekend.

    Shute Shield 2014

I hope he does well but it's interesting to note he was touted as the next big thing in the NRL at the end of 2012 but wasn't able to crack 1st grade at the Tigers. Given the fact that he's big and fast I wonder what his shortcomings are?

Thanks Dave, hope the council lets us use the ground too ;)

Unfortunately Horwitz won't be available for a few weeks assuming he's selected in the U20s team. I was impressed with Rees-Hole against Eastwood last week and he deserves another chance if fit. Early days, but Brogan Roods showed glimpses of what all the fuss is about in his brief cameo at 12...

It could have been worse. Apparently the council didn't want 1sts to play at Coogee either

But very unusual to move ALL lower grades on the basis of rain FORECAST. Usually only move when it's been raining for a few days beforehand.

Just noticed all lower grades are at Latham tomorrow  Anyone know why?

Wade Kelly's quoted on the Wicks website today saying that either Hanigan or Ma'afu will kick tomorrow. This is either a piss take or Nicholson must be out again.

I see Brogan Roods has been named in 3rds for this weekend. The poor guy has had a wretched run with injuries -- hope he gets through unscathed.

    Shute Shield 2014

I watched the game on TV and didn't have a real problem with the referee, but I was a neutral observer ;) My understanding is that all refereeing performances are judged by a former referee (at the ground) with feedback being given immediately to the man in the middle after the game and a...

The injury was stated as "bruised ribs" but if it's actually rib cartilage then it could be some time.

    Shute Shield 2014

Unfortunately the crowd went berserk while the kicker was lining up the kick as well. Call me old fashioned if you like, but this seems to happen more at some grounds than others. I was at TGMilner on Saturday and you could have heard a pin drop whenever a goal kick was being attempted by either...

Wicks went through last year without a reliable goal kicker after Toby disappeared o/s and with Windon out we're in trouble again. I'd be prepared to gamble on Tom Hiddleston (the best goal kicker in the club, great defence and good attacking skills) either at FB or on the wing until Windon is...

Only saw the highlights and didn't realise who it was until half way through. He certainly looked awesome with ball in hand.

    Shute Shield 2014

Looked pretty impressive against the Cheetahs. Seems as though he's finally realised how big and fast he is and is willing to take on tacklers instead of trying to chip over their heads.

    Shute Shield 2014

I notice that Ratu Nasiganiyavi (now known as Nemani Nadolo) who surfaced with the Perth team in the defunct ARC and then went on to an amazing start in the SS with Randwick (13 tries in 7 games) before moving to Manly and then France has turned up at the Crusaders and scored a hat trick against...
