Who did we beat with Gits and Foley? An underwhelming England team, Scotland, and Argentina? Lost verse NZ. Can't recall playing SA, France, Wales, Ireland. EDIT: Actually I think we did play Wales.

Your all listing 12's in a different era where the game was less psychical. The most successful 12's of recent times would be players like SBW, Nonu, Kerevi. I note that Gits and Foley were short-lived, and Gits body barely made it through the tournament. Its also most important to mention...

Wallabies to start taking the Brumbies reserve locks :)

    Wallabies 2023

This is where I put my money next year. Probably be Wilson 8 and Valetini 6. Having both Leota and Swinton as solid options is pretty good too. If Hooper goes down, i also back McReight and Samu as solid cover. I think Rennie really needs to give McReight some game time next year to adapt to...

    Wallabies 2023

I still think Petaia's best position is 13. He is naturally a great defender in that channel and runs good lines. I don't like the idea of him at fullback. I feel like he will fall into being a utility. He is a great talent, and if he gets his body right I feel could truly be one of the great...

Agree to disagree. I'm not buying that Rennie is even considering him an option as cover for 12. Which is what this whole convo is about.

You are assessing him on potential ability or playing style that he is an option at 12. His entire professional career at the Brumbies and Wallabies he has solely played at 10. Maybe he will shift to 12 at some stage, but there is no sign of this at the Brumbies or Wallabies. Pretty safe to say...

Yeh might just be a case of wanting to have a look at Foketi rather then Perese being dropped. I guess it would be a good idea to have a look at some depth at 12.

Wales v Australia, Sunday 21st 4.30 am ADST.

Beale is picked at fullback and Lolesio is a specialist 10 only. I don't think it reflects Lolo is on the outter at all, Beale covers 10,12 and is basically last man standing at 15. Having a specialist 10 on the bench doesn't provide much flexibility. I don't think the selection says Rennie...

Yeh I actually don't have too many issues with the forwards as a whole, apart from there linking with the back. They certainly could be better, but Arnold and Rodda weren't terrible. The defense was pretty good too. Our attack is just embarrassing, which largely comes down to the backs and...

Wales v Australia, Sunday 21st 4.30 am ADST.

I think the issue is that it has been two weeks in a row now. Both games he was under performing. And both a huge step down from Cooper. Compared to say Paisami who had a terrible first game, which is somewhat forgotten now that he has redeemed himself this game. I also disagree with you...

Yeah I'd give Arnold a pass mark for his maul work. But his combo with Rodda really isn't working. Both offer nothing as ball carries or any kind of mongrel.

Paisami a great example of this. Last week was terrible but this week he held onto the ball and had a blinder.

    England v Australia - Twickenham, 14 Nov, 4:30am AEDT

This isn't only isolated to Wright and Ikitau, although they had shockers on the weekend, I feel most players in the team are suspect of doing this. Paisami, Folau Fainaga, Beale, Petaia, even Koro and Tupou all culprits.

It's these sort of games that make you realize just how rare players like Kellaway are in Australian rugby. The guys who aren't flashy and just seem to always make the right decision, and have low error rates. I put Valetini in that list too. Both players have done everything asked of them...

    England v Australia - Twickenham, 14 Nov, 4:30am AEDT

Banks is an out and out fullback and Koro is an out and out winger, not really a good comparison. Banks/Hodge, unfortunately is the best we got. Although, not world-beaters I believe both can be solid options. Anything is better then Beale. Koro is a hard player to replace. I would love to...

    England v Australia - Twickenham, 14 Nov, 4:30am AEDT

But what made Wright look so good last year was is composure. He was so cool calm and collected, even under pressure. That seems to be the complete opposite this year.

    England v Australia - Twickenham, 14 Nov, 4:30am AEDT

Think about how much of a step down Wright and Beale are to Banks and Koro. Damn Banks looks pretty damn good about now. I've been disappointed in Wright. There certainly is something very 'Beale' about him, good footwork and does look dangerous with ball in hand, but just makes a lot of...

Lolo may develop he is certainly tracking in the right direction but I can also understand your reservations in him. Harrison could be an option. I feel like he is natural 10 with a solid kicking game. Just unfortunate he plays for the shitty Tahs.
