    Australia v England Test 1 Sat. July 2 @1955

With England raining high balls, much better to have Petaia at the back then JOC (James O'Connor) (if Banks went down).

Agree on Wright, lots of my fellow Brumbies fan raving about his form this year, but I think he still makes poor decisions or lets his emotions get the best of him. Porecki to start as Hooker, and I like Bell over Slipper too. Slipper form has declined this year and his scrummaging is a worry.

Great post, i agree with all! Really have high hopes for Porecki, hope he nails down the Hooker spot, would be great having a Hooker with a solid throw.

I'm surprised Campbell wasn't picked for this reason. Will surely be in Aus A.

    Wallabies 2023

Too soon for Lonergan, I'm surprise he's not in Aus A to be honest. I like Porecki as a starter seems to have the best line-out throw. I actually think Locks are going to be a tight call too. Phillip and Swain most likely. After Neville's brain-fart in the semi-final diving over the ruck he's...

I don't think so. Last year it I thought Rennie basically said Petaia would have more utility value if he had experience at 15. I don't think the outright plan was to make Petaia an out and out fullback, although if all went well that could happen, but now he is a pretty damn good bench option.

Even as a Brumbies fan I can admit Lonergan is not ready for a test against England. Needs a year or two strength training in the gym.

Watch the Hurricanes game again, Samu was a beast!

Blues vs Brumbies SF, June 11 2022

I thought there were so may subtle things Barrett did that negated any pressure the Brumbies tried to put on the blues, he out-kicked us, his kick returns were all great, he made a try saving tackle, cleaned up lose ball, was threatening with ball in hand, he picked out Hooper with his line drop...

Whilst I do agree that Noah shares the load of the blame, but would the same thing have happened if White was at 9? I don't think it does.

Same can be said of Simone. He's looking so good this year. If he ever earned one final shot at the wallabies 12 it would be now. His physicality and defence would be an asset at test level and I feel he's reduced his little errors and poor decisions. It's a shame he's heading overseas, could...

Fair call then on McReight. I would just like to acknowledge the form of Scott Sio. I would have him ahead of Slipper based on the last 4-5 Brumbies games. Bell is looking good too but not sure who the best scrummager is out of the three.

Also, I think Sio's form is firmly back. I think he has outplayed Slipper in his last 4-5 games. Sio's really making impact into contact. His turnover this game was a beaut too. He will be missed next year. I hope he stays in Aus.

We were making ground and had momentum, it just felt too soon watching. Could have tried to put more pressure on for a penalty for a few more phases at least. It was a rushed decision in the heat of the moment I feel.

Blues vs Brumbies SF, June 11 2022

There was also a key moment, where one of our players was held-up because he dived over a ruck already full of players on the ground. That was just stupid, if he did some-how manage to get it down it probably wouldn't have been seen by the ref anyway. Not sure who it was, but its these moments...

I agree, although my last post I criticized his decision to pass to Lolesio for the drop goal, he was pretty bloody good apart from that (and I acknowledge if the 10 is screaming at you for the ball it would probably be hard not to pass).

I agree. The great players seem to make the right calls in the big moments. I also put blame on Longeran for passing him the ball when it wasn't on. Both of those guys in key roles at 9/10 need to be making better calls in the bigger moments. Hopefully this a big learning experience for both of...

F**king Beauden Barrett. Too good. The Brumbies really took too long to settle into there rhythm. They waited till the last 20 minutes. The Blues did great to frustrate them. Big players like White look rattled. I think at the end that was the difference. Proud of the fight back and getting...

No surprises apart from no McReight. I thought there would be more uproar about it actually.

    Brumbies v Hurricanes, 2pm, 01/05

Valetini bossing it for 80mins once again. A beautiful thing to see. Sio is back in wallaby contention and Banks didnt look like the injury affected him at all. I wasn't sold on Wright this season, but the showed what a great attacking threat he was this game. Great to see. Reimer is a...
