Highlanders v Brumbies Sun 24 April

Great start by he Brums, looked very dominate but failed to convert that dominance into points. Which seems like a consistent drawback from aussie teams when they play well. Scotty Sio had a great game and looks to have returned to some form. The scrum (from all forwards) doesn't look to be a...

    Wallabies 2023

Well I was surprised how dominate the Reds scrum was against the Brumbies last match. Also there breakdown work was dominate. I'm hoping more Reds make the forward pack this year. For the backs fullback looks like weak spot. Banks was on fire before he got injured. A big loss in my opinion...

    Brumbies 2022

What's Munsters attack been like since he's been there? Any improvement?

    Brumbies 2022

The two don't correlate. They still score maul tries, but their attack has improved significantly. Especially Larkham's last year, man that was boring to watch.

    Wallabies 2023

I like the side. I prefer @RebelYell team over @Jimmyjam. I i don't know how Wright gets an outside back spot after this season. Even as a Brumbies fan I'd prefer Daugunu as a winger. I think the side is missing a specialist fullback so Banks has it until some-one else steps up.

    Brumbies 2022

I think it is always going to be step down from McKellar. I'm okay with Larkham as head coach, I don't think there are many options going around. He did okay for a new HC his last stint. Ironically, it was just the one-dimensional boring attack play that let him down. Hopefully, he has learned...

    Refereeing decisions

I really think they need to change the wording in the laws. They need to include the "purpose rule". Why was the law created? what is the laws objective? If your decision goes against that, then you shouldn't rule that way. For example, a knock-on is to punish poor handling. They should never...

He was only on for 10mins. Made a few tackles.

I agree, flyhalf is really a key position setting us apart from being a good test team to being a great test team.

Yeh your basically walking a tightrope if you're jumping into a rugby forum before watching the game. Craziness.

On a positive, Paisimi was a boss. Beale stepped up, and I'm very anti-Beale, but he is just so deadly in attack in the last 20mins of games, maybe a bench spot is suited for him. Our attack looked much improved. I can't wait to next year. The improved super rugby season with NZ teams will...

True, probably not a big deal coming from the players but when it's coming from the Captain every time you blow the whistle, a ref is eventually bound to subconsciously just disregard everything they say, or even worse, they get defensive in their decision-making which actually reinforces their...

I think something can be said of the way we speak to Ref's though. Hooper, Slipper, White consistently back-chatting and giving hsarcastic or passive aggressive comments. I understand the frustration, but never in history has the ref changed there decision after it has been made. I think ref's...

Rennie is usually so well spoken and diplomatic but even he was so clearly frustrated. That is telling in itself. Refs were diabolical.

Well if the tour started with Japan we got one win.

The whole knock down try was a complete farce. Even the scoring player was shaking his head. Remember the purpose of the rule is to punish poor handling. All this stupid "did it slightly go backward, side-ways, forwards" shouldn't be so controversial, if its a dropped ball and close to being...

Absolutely, it's all about balance. And I just don't see any balance with a combo of Harrison and Lolesio. Might work for U20's and even super XV, but I prefer other options at test level.

I think the small 12 certainly can work, the key there is they have to be strong defenders. Ford and Farrell were a pretty damn small international 10 and 12 and they went alright. Beat us numerous times.
