I doubt that he makes the 23 in this squad

Maybe, but it was not a World Cup year last year and it was put on the table?

The whole idea of being able to call on two OS players who have not qualified through the Giteau law is a good one. Due to our lack of depth there are times when we are short of test class talent in certain positions. Right now I would take a hooker(Latu) and a 13(Kerevi). Our second and back...

Very strange indeed and just shows our lack of depth. In the case of Timani surely Hosea or Rodda would have been preferable?I guess that Timani is good for opposed set piece drills but surely no better than Rodda.

Not a fan. Hes technically sound but still doesn’t know how to use that bulk. I would prefer to see Hosea or Swain get a run.

Uru would have been good but maybe Liota gets that spot?

Warming the spot for Isaac Rodda

If Perese is small then Ikitau is smaller. Perese is not tall but he his built like the proverbial brick shithouse and has a lot of power.

Wells wouldn’t let anyone down. Ditto for Lee Warner. I dont see Naisarani being required when we have Valetini, Wilson and Swinton covering 6-8. Also hard to see Wells chosen ahead of McReight. Uru can also play in the 2nd row which means he probably gets the nod?

I would say that Paisamis option taking and passing game have been superior to To’omuas so far this year and it is improving quickly. His kicking as well. We have a hard running and tackling 13 in Perese and I would think that Kerevi would be a good call up for the Rugby Championship.

We need to focus on bringing through some younger local hookers, Kaitu’u and Uelese, and have one experienced hooker in the group. Latu might be a good one to have. Surely he could be persuaded to return and sign with the Tahs or the Reds in place of BPA?

He just seems to be developing his distribution and kicking game. Of course he could utilise that from 13 as well but I think we would be better served with a bigger lump of a man at 13 outside Paisami.

Paisami showed last night that he is really a 12. I would look at Petaia again at 13 or maybe consider bringing back Kerevi?

We know that it was not about money for Rodda, or at least that has been suggested several times and he is returning to Australia for much less than he earns now and without a RA top up. I think it had more to do with he and BT. Who are we to judge either way? If he is the best candidate for the...

He has always been top shelf but was just ignored in favour of other more prominent players. Has a great footy brain and the skills to back it up. Love to see him in the squad.

What is Slippers status? Sio looked good on the weekend. Bell and Robertson have both been consistently good and would not be out of place on the bench. Fotuaika has also been excellent.

BPA and Uelese the hookers at this point. Agree that Wilson and Valetini are locks at 8 and 6 and Hooper at 7. A Paisami/Perese centre pairing is pretty tasty and almost impossible to leave out Vunivalu.

I didn’t realise he was out for so long. I’d guess that Rennie will still bring him in to the squad when fit. The mid field is problematic.

    Wallabies 2021

Last year Petaia performed very well at 13 and I reckon that Rennie will keep this in mind. If To'omua continues to remain out of form, and he was pretty bad on the weekend(alongside many others), it would not surprise to see Rennie go back to a Paisami/Petaia midfield. I know that Petaia has...

Thats what has been missing from his game and it was good to see him put the burners on and shoot the gap against quality opposition. Hes firming as the starter at 15.
