    Australia v Argentina - 21 November, Newcastle

Not really. It might have been the plan from Rennie, but I doubt it. It’s test rugby.... take the points. That was our game to lose and we almost did.

We need a captain who will take points when on offer. If we had taken every shot in the first half the game was over before oranges.

A mohawk and a few tats would do it

Excellent podcast. Very informative on a wide range of rugby topics. Well worth a listen every time.

I think that is exactly what we are going to do. Go wide and often as well as kick for the corners and play the game down at their end.

TBF he was anonymous in the first test. I prefer to see Valetini and Wright in there. Sio should be chomping at the bit after being dissed so far this year. TT and BPA will hold him up in the scrum and he is also very good around the park.

Well, decision made and they can get on with it. Practise kicking the crap out of the pill. Need to play the game in their half. That means that Lolesio is on the bench.

One thing is for sure. Rennie will have his own thoughts on selection and implement them. So far he has done pretty well. If he wants to counter the Argie beef then we could always go with LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) at 6. Once again, I think being brought into their fight is a bad idea. We need solid set piece, quick...

He did so well against the Argies for the As. I’m not sure if he is accurate enough in general but he may be the ticket. Wright is not the right bloke. He was out muscled by the ABs in Bled 2. Looked better in the last game. I’d have him or Samu or McReight on the bench to finish. The ABs lacked...

    Australia v Argentina - 21 November, Newcastle

When the chips were down the All Blacks game failed out wide and they tried to go up the middle. The Argies were going to tackle all day. They needed one or two of those passes to stick. They only scored 10 points until that consolation try after the bell. We are going to need to be smarter and...

That was the worst performance by the ABs in quite some time. There were many uncharacteristic errors in attack and they lacked on-field leadership when they needed it most. In the past you would have bet good money on them pulling that one out of the fire with 5 mins to go. Take nothing away...

He has to be accurate though. He has a tendency to lose the pill in contact and at times is not great at going forward( the SRAU semi). We cannot turn over the ball much. He might be good if fit and more accurate than previously. Going into the game just to counter the perceived Argie strengths...

That back row might be a bit small, although I would have McReight on the bench to close out the game. I think the Kiwis got it wrong. They should have started with Sotutu(sp?) and finished with Savea. Yes, its going to be a great test for us and them.

Seeing images of both JOC (James O'Connor) and LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) seemingly in full training mode the last couple of days. No sign of a James Slipper though. I’m guessing he is done for the year sadly. He has been one of our best.

We are not that far off. Hooper is....well Hooper and Swinton was the best on park prior to his card last game. Wilson will be as good as anyone running around. We have a lot of depth in the back row, it just needs to be groomed.

Argies were very good and fronted up in defence. I can t remember seeing a game in recent times when the ABs made so many unforced errors and really did not look in sync at times. Id like to see Naisarani or Valetini start to offset that Argie back row as well but maybe Rennie will have other...

Any news on LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) and JOC (James O'Connor)? Looks like we will need to be at our best on the weekend.

Cheikas time was always interesting. I wonder what he is instilling in the Pumas? Rennie looks to be very solid, both as a motivator and on the technical side of things. The immediate future looks bright.
