Wallabies v Pumas, Bankwest (Parra), Sat 5th December

FP, you’re way off on this one. He picked the best possible players available. If you are talking about Kurindrani, Samu and players like Naisarani........they have all had their chances. Looking forward and not back is smart. We need to play a modern game that will take us back to near the...

Wallabies v Pumas, Bankwest (Parra), Sat 5th December

Well that sounds great except that we don’t exactly have world class talent banging down the door. We started Reece Hodge at 10 in two tests, Hanigan was the lock back up for a test. There have been a lot of young players blooded this year and that will reap benefits in the next few years. A...

Wallabies v Pumas, Bankwest (Parra), Sat 5th December

Agreed. Your provincial bias is clouding your judgement BR. There are some worthy Brumby Wallabies but we also have a lot of good players from other teams. On Simmons and Hanigan, test coaches keep picking them. They might not be the cream of the crop historically but I’m guessing they are the...

Wallabies v Pumas, Bankwest (Parra), Sat 5th December

I imagine both are regarded similarly by Rennie and co. Lolesio didn’t exactly shower himself in glory in his debut either. Both are very green and far from being first line test players. As said, another year of Super Rugby will help them and others along.

Both he and Lolesio will be better for another year of Super Rugby under their belts. There is no hurry. JOC (James O'Connor) and To'omua can drive the boat for now.

Petaia and Paisami can duke it out for the starting 13 jersey and the bench spot.

Wallabies v Pumas, Bankwest (Parra), Sat 5th December

Petaia needs to play a whole Super Rugby season next year and practice running into space rather than seeking out the man, as he does now. He invariably seeks out the man and goes for the big fend or tries a ridiculous chip kick. Where did that come from? We really missed Matt To'omua at the back end of...

    Should never have been there

Wallabies v Pumas, Bankwest (Parra), Sat 5th December

I don’t think any of the hookers have been consistent in performance. FF (Folau Fainga'a) has been up and down and both of the others have had a few stutters throwing at the lineout. BPA has been good around the park. I thought Uelese might get a run this week off the bench as he offers more impact than the...

Wallabies v Pumas, Bankwest (Parra), Sat 5th December

I’d like to see Valetini start at 6 and a bench of Uelese, Bell, TT, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), McReight, McDermott, Lolesio, Maddocks.

It might end up being the most interesting aspect of this game, kinda Folaugate light?

I hope someone is in talks with Rodda in regards to a return to Super rugby next year. I’m sure both the Tahs and the Force could use him.

They requested to leave for home a week early? Surely the ARU were aware of this earlier and could have waited a week to deal with it.

Hope Valetini gets a start but Rennie may stick with Hanigan. Either way McReight should be on the bench.

And if Hodge starts at 15 and is moved to 10 or 12 Maddocks comes on at 15. Maddocks can play on the wing if need be. He is a good back 3 sub. On the contrary Daugunu would struggle anywhere but on the wing. We need a 15 that gives us a bit more in attack. Banks really has struggled there while...

    Wallabies 2020

1st half within 12 points either way take the 3. Later on if chasing or well ahead kick to the corner or take a scrum midfield in their quarter.

Wallabies v Pumas, Bankwest (Parra), Sat 5th December

Yes, Valetini to start. Wright just has not looked physically up to playing 6 at this level. I also wouldn’t mind seeing Maddocks get a run off the pine in place of Daugunu.

We need to finish on a good note. This trophy was there for the taking and now the fricken darkness have it! I would have preferred the Argies to have won it. That is very disappointing but still a thoroughly enjoyable tournament.

    Wallabies 2020

But he will be back for the next test season. It is a sabbatical.

    Wallabies 2020

I would guess that the next long term captain will be McReight after the next RWC if Hooper decides to go to Japan or Europe. In the mean time I wouldn’t hurt your heads.
