    Wallabies vs England, Perth

We got beaten tactically and physically by the poms on both sides of the scrum, result is our scrum has gone to pieces and it almost seemed like every man for himself. Owens let them get away with heaps, but why wouldnt he - they had earned some lattitude. Maafu was probably the worst offender...

    Robbie Deans Report Card

As a positive, if deans can get robinson and higgenbottom fit and get consistency into the team, then I think he will have a team capable of winning this years 3N with some depth at most postions. This is an improvement on the Wobbs from 2006/07. The consistency is my biggest issue and why I...

    Waratahs 2011

No, he has signed with otago for the NPC and is expected to stay on with the highlanders for the S14.

    Robbie Deans Report Card

I thought we went backwards by some margin last year which was all the more disappointing given our expectations were raised by the 2008 performances. Last years bland sham results took away any confidence I had in deans so he needs a very good run of results this year, otherwise I honestly...

    Wallabies vs England, Perth

Giteau out, Barnes to 12 Hynes onto the bench No need to thank me for the scoop there. Just realised this has been discussed 4 pages ago!

Ben Alexander out for entire Tri-nations

Thats terrible. The injury looked bad when it happened and I was suprised by the initial optimistic diagnosis. Only positive is that BA will be fresh and fit for the EOYT and 2011. Time to call Big All Baxter back into the squad to shore up front row experience.

    Wallabies announced

I can understand Baxter not being selected in the squad, we play more tests against the ABs than any other team and BAxter has struggled (fairly or unfairly) against the blacks. Deans will know that we are going to struggle against the ABs with Al and he needs to consistently beat the blacks to...

    Reds 2011

Southern Districts (Sydney club rugby) are quoting Sheperdson as a Red for 2011. I can't vouch for the accuracy.

    What position did/do you play?

I only ever played in the tight 5. Started in second row and moved to the front row but did alternate back and forth from time to time. I was a little too tall for the front row and a little too short for the 2nd row and had no interest in playing elsewhere.

    Semi 2: Stormers vs Tahs

Some of Waugh post match comments were pretty poor. He is quoted today as saying the tahs wouldn't of beaten a club team given the way they played. He needs to be more gracious in defeat.

    Waratahs 2011

TPN has been our only effective pick and go man since Paul got injured. Unfortaunetly the opposition have worked that out and thats one of the reasons why TPN has been less effective (while still being very good) the last 4 rounds or wo

    Semi 2: Stormers vs Tahs

Well done stormers. Very convincing performance. The bulls will need their power game to be at its best to bust you guys open. Will be a tight final but my money will be on the stormers. Overall, it was a good season for the tahs and you exceeded my expectations espcially given the injuries to...

    Shute Shield 2010

Not sure where to put this but Josh Tatatupu has sigend with Otago for the NPC and S15 next year so I think he will have played his last game for Souths.

    Brumbies 2011

There is something wrong at the brumbies. I can’t but my finger on what it is but they can’t keep finishing 5-9th each year without any clear progress despite one of the best rosters super rugby. There still seems to be too much trial and error in their tactics and play, e.g. why haven’t they...

Lote continues to show his class

Well done to Lote, it can't be easy given the league dominated press throw questions which are deisgned to create the "union is boring" headlines. As a side note, I can't help but wonder how the tahs would have gone this year if Lote had still been around. My guess is that we would have scored...

    Thankyou McKenzie

great post geeves. I think everyone has enjoyed the Reds revival this year and hopefully it turns into wallaby success. The red bulls game was my favourite S14 game this year, even more so than the tahs demolitions of the blues and canes. The growth in the reds young players has been impressive...
