Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

Sharks kick off, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) drops the ball under pressure and the Sharks go wide and nearly score, just getting forced over the sideline a few metres out. Latu throws in long, the Sharks read it well but just can't regather and knock on. From the scrum, Sharks go early again and get a penalty, but...

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

71% advantage line for the Tahs, 15 missed tackles from the Sharks, Waratahs have nearly 300 running metres to about 70-odd. Tahs forwards are just rumbling over the Sharks and almost making half breaks at will. And yet, the Tahs lead by 7, some of which were gifts from the ref and the Sharks...

I hope I don't see Hoffman ref at this level again for a long time. His performance seriously is Berry-esque.

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

Tahs forwards are smashing the Sharks and the Sharks have missed a lot of tackles. The Tahs should be up by more, but at the same time the Sharks should have scored a try or two, particularly when Pietersen put down an intercept from a poor Tahs pass inside their own 22. To top it off...

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

Hoffman is going to struggle to get another game for a while after his disaster in that first half.

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

He's a fraction of the player he was in his pomp. Silly play from Palu to follow it up, too. Latu then penalised in the ensuing fracas from Palu reacting to Robinson's penalty. Nothing in that.

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

Inside ball from Beale to Folau gets the Tahs to 1m out, but the Sharks steal. Some comedy from Phipps and the Sharks end up with a penalty. Tahs forwards are just dominating the collisions. If the Tahs backs could get firing they could run up a huge score.

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

Tahs rolling over the advantage line easy but a nothing kick from Foley gives Mvovo an easy mark in his 22.

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

Hoffman catches a sneaky Hoiles hand in the ruck this time, although the crowd don't like it. The Sharks opt to take a kick at goal wide out and on the 35m line. Steyn gets it over the black dot, 13 - 6 to the Tahs.

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

Sharks tackling is horrible, though. They are falling off first up tackles and the Tahs are just rolling up the field with ease. Tahs get a line ball call and get a scrum. This time the Sharks get the penalty lottery as Robinson is penalised for dropping his elbow at scrum time. Believe it...

Penalty at the scrum to the Tahs, and Foley kicks the 3. 13 - 3 to the Tahs. Hoffman having a mare.

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

Hoffman calls a 2m pass backwards forward from Bismarck. Tahs are having some luck go their way so far.

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

Tahs are having a mare cleaning up kicks and clearing their red zone in this game. Lucky they haven't been punished for it yet. They need to fix it ASAP. Lucky half arm at the scrum for Sharks going early will give them some clearance.

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

Foley makes a break returning a kick, a knock on results in AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) getting over the Sharks player who cleaned up but Hoffman rules it went backwards. Foley converts the penalty from in front. Bit of luck there. 10 - 3 to the Tahs.

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

Steyn kicks the penalty, and it's now 7 - 3 Tahs over the Sharks.

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

Skelton has destroyed two Sharks mauls, but the second the Tahs were lucky as Palu walked around the side and collapsed it. Tahs scrum getting destroyed, though. Off a Latu overthrow Hooper makes a break then loses the ball cold. And another penalty off a Tahs scrum.

    Reds 2015

Not sure how I feel about a 12. Kerevi, 13. Hunt, 15. JOC (James O'Connor) backline. A fit and firing Taps is still the best 12 I think the Reds have, and I don't think that Kerevi is a 12, really, either, although he can play alright there.

I found this bit interesting from Genia: Paint that any way you like, a player in support of his coach does not dodge the question and say "I probably don't have too much of an opinion on that". Jim Tucker thinks Graham is likely gone by the looks.

    Reds 2016

Regarding JOC (James O'Connor), he's had flashes of showing what he is capable of. Hard to do more in the Reds side, so it's hard to know if he will do more if given the chance. What waits to be seen is if the Wallabies will take a punt on JOC (James O'Connor) or not, I bet they will. Regarding JOC (James O'Connor)'s defence, his defensive...

Knuckles will tell people what he thinks they should hear. I hope he really tones down his legendary mind games on his return and gets more involved in straight honesty.
