Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Force penalised for not releasing the tackled player. Hodgson goes to the bin after repeated warnings. Tahs 30m out right in front, but they instead go for a lineout. That penalty on Hodgson looked rubbish on replay. The other Force player maybe should have been penalised for not rolling...

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Heaps of reserves on. Hooper has limped off. Force are still insisting on not playing rugby.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Phipps knocks on under pressure from a messy ruck, Hodgson kicks ahead but it just rolls into goal and Foley grounds it. Hooper limping badly. Not good.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Shocking throw, messy work cleaning up, Mafi dives it and the Force clear. Story of the Tahs night.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Cummins with a bit of space, but Hooper covers him. Some turnovers, some knock ons. Penalty to the Tahs at the scrum, 45m out, in front. They kick to touch, 15m out. Interesting choice, but they are 7 down and must back themselves for a try here. 14 to go.

Yeah, would like to see the peel off again to see if it was the main maul or changed lanes.

    25m Force maul, try.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Sigh. Ebersohn with a shocker of a kick, Force on attack 40m out and he kicks it right to Folau, 20m out. Folau then kicks it into touch 30m out. Shocking right now from both teams. Force maul it and the Tahs again come in from the side. They've struggled all game with the Force maul...

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Somehow the Force have put the Tahs off their game and they've been suckered into the kind of rugby that the Force want. Been a pretty flat game apart from those two tries and the odd run or half break.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

There has been some really average kicking in this game tonight, both teams seem content to just kick it to each other without much intent.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Phipps fumbles from the base of a ruck after the Tahs go a bit backwards for a few rucks, then Chapman handles from about 50cm in front. Tahs rely on their strong runners getting over the advantage line, but their passes and runners have been slightly off and the Force defence up quick and...

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Both teams trading pretty aimless kicks down the centre of the park, until Phipps finally finds grass and it runs into the Force in goal.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

I reckon that first Force try was some great rugby, not sure you are watching two teams play.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Big Taqele in the corner from nothing. Force smashed the Tahs runners back, until a loose flick pass from Folau found Taqele who beats 3 would be tacklers in a 40m run to the line.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Cummins was sweating on that chip from Beale, if the Force 9 had drawn and passed instead of dummying early they could have really punished the Tahs. McCalman also throws a forced pass way forward on a good opportunity, but it's come back for a Tahs knock on. If the Tahs score next I think...

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Foley missed what was a not too difficult penalty a couple of minutes earlier, and Burton misses a bit harder one now. I think the Force should have gone for a five metre lineout there, their maul has put pressure on the Tahs all night.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Kepu very lucky that wasn't a red, he was saved as he started on the shoulder, not closer to the head. Amazed that Dennis didn't know that law, or maybe he was just being hopeful. I think that Kepu rucked his shoulder down his arm the first go, then maybe a slight stamp on the arm the second...

    Reds 2015

Interesting stats: The Reds have the lowest points for at 147, worse even than the attack challenged Force who have 181. That's an average of 13.4 points per game. The Reds have the worst point against at 319, worse than the turnstile Cheetahs and Blues who are at 317 and 303 respectively...

    Reds 2015

There's 10s in Premier rugby in Brisbane than Frisby as well, like Sam Greene (this has been discussed earlier in the thread). For some reason the Reds didn't want to go outside of the squad to replace Cooper apart from a marquee player like a Barnes.

Friday 8th May, Rebels v Blues @ AAMI Park

42 - 22 to the Rebels. Rebels move to 29 points, not too far off the finals. Just 3 points behind the Brumbies and 2 points behind the Tahs, but the Tahs have a game in hand. Most successful season ever for the Rebels. Well done to them.
