    Rebels 2015

Typo, Force on the mind tonight! Sorry, Rebels!

    Rebels 2015

Browning would be my guess. Would be a tragedy for the Reds if true, but a great pickup for the ForceRebels. A strong number 8 would be great for the Rebels.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Foley wouldn't rank in the top 5 flyhalves in NZ this year. Foley's been average this year, particularly compared to last year. His kicking out of hand has improved, but his passing game and backline organisation, for me, aren't good. The fact that he's our easily been our best 10 is not a...

    Reds 2016

Well, assuming that Graham stays and the board hold their line, I guess that Graham and the Reds board are going to blame the S&C staff and Steve Meehan for the Reds failures this year. Excuses all lined up and ready to go!

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Brumbies have the worst depth, in terms of step down from their first choice to second stringers, of any team in the comp. They could not afford any injuries, and they have a heap. Once they got their injuries, their slipping was inevitable. What will be key for them is how they go once guys...

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

3 of the top 4 technically, pretty sure Bulls are 3rd on 34, Clan 4th on 33. There's still a slim chance of there being 4 NZ teams in the final, but I suspect that if I look at the run home that there's too many NZ conference games, and some teams (like that Tahs) theoretically have "easy"...

    Reds 2015

And the contract for Knuckles into 2016 is yet another clear indication that they intend on keeping Graham on at the Reds.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

That bonus point put the Tahs in 3rd thanks to the conference system (ask the Reds from 2012!), but they are tied with the Brumbies on 32 points. Tahs have 7 wins +25 F/A, Brumbies have 6 wins +93 F/A. Tahs ahead thanks to more wins.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Actually, apart from the two tries, which were both rather good, there were no real high points from this game.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Force 3/9, Waratahs 2/5. Kicking at goal not a high point from this game.

    Reds 2015

And Knuckles? Gees, I was a fan of him coaching the Reds in the 90s, but by the 2000s a few things had gotten to me: - his mind games with the players I thought tended to go a little far post professionalism - his love of 10 man rugby, almost criminal with the Reds backline in the late 90s to...

    Reds 2015

There's surely no way they could hold onto Graham if the Reds take the spoon, which they are surely now the favourites to do as the Force just beat the Tahs. So in saying that, Graham is certainly staying. If the Force beat us, I can't see a way that we don't end up with the spoon.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Another penalty to the Force at the scrum as the Tahs shove insanely early, then when Alby tries to feed it all goes down. Force don't do the Giteau and kick to touch, ending the game but allowing the Tahs to hold onto a bonus point from this stinker. Well done Force, well done Reds, who now...

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

That's why Foley annoys me as a 10. His running game is deceptively good - low centre of gravity and he can step at speed, and his support game is first class, but his control over a backline and his passing is sub par to me. I think his kicking from hand is hugely improved, though.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Ebersohn just misses to the right, Foley runs it back. Force weren't expecting it, Foley beats a few to 35m out then throws a no look pass that was well behind Folau, and it's knocked on.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Penalty Force at the scrum for Ryan (?) angling. Initially looked stable, then sheered right across. Looked to me like Cowan didn't pack well, but the Force have the kick at goal from out wide.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Tahs go wide to Taqele, but the pass from Beale is rubbish and it bounced uncomfortable for big T and he knocks it on. 4 minutes left, Force up 18 - 11, scrum 40m from the Tahs line, and Hodgson still in the bin.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Another Force maul, but this one is stopped after 5m and Alby has a box kick. Tahs are throwing it around a bit now. Force steals, but ref says knock on next ruck. All looked a bit dodgy to me. No ruck at all, but Tessman grabbed the ball as he stood up - he needed to get to his feet first.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Hah, yeah, Was Paddy Ryan, too. But Ryan did hinge, so fair enough.

Force v Waratahs, round 13, Saturday 9 May

Tahs maul from 5m out, but mess it right near the line and it's a scrum Force. 9 minutes to go.
