Waratahs v Crusaders, round 15, Saturday 23 May @ Homebush

Scrum now. Crusaders are easily getting over the advantage line, Tahs struggling to contain them. In return, the Tahs attack has gone nowhere most of the time. The way this game is going, the Tahs should just defend until the Crusaders make a mistake, because they are scoring nearly every time.

Yup. Funny game this. Completely all Crusaders, yet the Tahs score the points. Another Crusaders mistake and Horne scoops up the ball and gets a free 60m run to the line.

Beale is ratcheting is up the missed tackles this game. Crusaders making a heap of mistakes and giving up lots of turnovers already.

Whitelock went beyond the horizontal but he twisted his body and brought it back around as he hit the ground. There's no way he was placed either, he was flipped and dropped. It doesn't matter where they hit once they go beyond the horizontal, it's at least a yellow. It was always a card...

I reckon that's fair, it was more Latu than Skelton. Latu may be lucky they didn't take a look at some of his swings afterwards too.

Did Latu also throw a few afterwards too?

Waratahs v Crusaders, round 15, Saturday 23 May @ Homebush

That's at least a yellow for either Latu or Skelton. The biggest issue is that it's so far after the ref whistle. What the hell were they doing?

Skelton may be gone here. WTF was he thinking?!

Beale taking the penalty 15m from touch, 42m from the tryline. They really are uncomfortable with Foley from anything more than about 35 - 40m straight to the posts. Beale pushes it to the right.

Neither had footage nor ref seeing them down, it's the same thing, but that's by the by. Just commenting on consistency, or lack thereof. Crusaders get around the edge of the Tahs again, but last pass was forward to Nadolo. Horne then breaks a couple of tackles to get around the Crussaders...

That ball probably got down, but there's no evidence so they can't give it (unlike last week and the poor Sharks, but that's another story).

Great maul from the Crusaders, they might go in here.

Naiyaravoro in, Foley converts. 7 - 5 Tahs. Been all Crusaders up to that point, they were making half breaks everywhere but desperate Tahs defence just held on. Some very strong runs from Folau to set up that try. Crusaders have such silky hands, even Nadolo is pulling them in.

    Reds v Sharks, Round 15 2015

Bismarck was, by far, the best player on the park. Head and shoulders. Coetzee was very good too, and Cronje's kicking just showed up the inept kicking from the Reds and had the Reds pinned down. Why the Reds persisted with a kicking duel when they were getting so soundly beaten is amazing...

    Reds 2016

I think that Quade is gone, unfortunately. Would be surprised (a happy one) he he stays. Sad for the fans, as he's a fan favourite and he's still fairly young (just a year older than Foley I think?) and should have been a few years away from the NH yet. Hanson to the Rebels is a surprise...

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

I think that Cyclo's right when he says they need to find a replacement for Beale at 12, I just don't know who. Lance might have been worth a try, but he's off to the Force next year and it's getting on in the season. I suspect they'll end up persisting with Beale and hope he regains the form of...

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

Foley's running game was fantastic, his ability to run a backline is worrying me. I don't know if it's Beale, or what, but after that first minute the Tahs backline just couldn't take advantage of the forward's work. Finishing was poor, too, unlike last year. There's just something not...

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

Yup. One good inside ball to Folau against a whole heap of errors on mistakes on attack and defence. He's trying to make stuff happen but he's being very well read, as well he appears to be rather worked out this year. On defence it appears like he makes an effort but not a real effort of...

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

33 - 18 with just the kick off to go. 3 tries to the Tahs, so no bonus point so far. Taqele goes over the touchline as the Tahs just run across field and it's game over. If you ignore the reffing, which was just appalling, the Tahs forwards dominated in contact for the first 50m or so...

Waratahs v Sharks, round 14, Saturday 16 May

Sharks drop the ball, Foley grubbers, scoops it up and runs 50m untouched to the line.
