    Waratahs v Reds Rd 18 Sat 13th June 2015

Genia is gone, he clearly didn't want to come off. Looked like a shoulder.

Er, Kerevi had eyes for the ball? This ref is fucking shocking.

Actually, Hooper is still out there I think. Tui and Saia on for the Reds.

Hooper and Potgieter now off, Ryan on for Kepu as well. Lance on for Carraro. Foley knocks one on, and Genia does a nothing grubber.

Cooper tackled Naiyarovoro, how cute. Loose pass from Taqele but Kerevi knocked on. Bounce of the ball swinging to the Tahs. Folau beats about 6 tackles to go a few out, then Potgeiter in. Reds defence of 2015 shows up. Folau should have been stopped by any number of guys up field.

Mumm on for Palu. He'd been the Tahs best forward with Skelton, so that's an interesting call.

Paraka with a poor read, lazily followed the covered Foley instead of sticking with the inside man. This ref is killing me a bit, he's really really inconsistent with his ruck time calls.

Ref has no clue at scrum time, shame, Palu nearly in off the back of the scrum. Tahs finally in.

Yellow card for Thomson. Maybe a bit tough, he ran into the tackled player and didn't affect play. (How that wasn't a knock on from Folau down the other end, I will never know - almost impossible to knock it back sliding forward to take a chip kick!) Think the Tahs will score soon.

I still don't see the Reds scoring points. Forwards are getting smashed, Quade is trying but has no space and no variety in his runners.

Palu with a turnover. He's been loving these trench warfare conditions. Reds steal a Tahs lineout after the Tahs finally get some ball.

Slipper gone at halftime - shoulder. Paraka on. Be interesting to see the effect on the Reds scrum. Same story for Reds forwards, in the Tahs 5m but losing the collisions.

And the second half starts where the first left off, a penalty. Whatever Dennis was thinking with that I'll never know.

    Waratahs v Reds Rd 18 Sat 13th June 2015

I dunno, I still tend to think that the Tahs will get some ball in the second half and run around the crappy Reds defence. I don't think that the Reds can score points, too much running across field from even their outside backs, and their forwards are getting smashed in the collisions around...

Reds ball is mostly complete crap. They have a lot of it, but no-one is going forward. Backs have no space to move. A few pick and drives around the ruck might actually work this game. One out forward runners are a complete waste of time though.

Certainly a willing forward battle. Can't say much more than that. The scary thing is, that's our halves pairing for the Wallabies on show for the Tahs.

Pretty sure a week only counts when there's a game. Could either be a club game, Super Rugby game or a Test game. Hence why weeks count during Super Rugby byes / weeks off in finals - as there's generally a club game they could have played.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Been waiting for Foley's handling / turnover stats. It's been a myth that he's a "safe option" for a while, he also had a pretty bad error rate on the EOYT last year. Foley was good in 2013 super rugby, great in 2014 super rugby, poor to average for the Wallabies in 2014, and he's been...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

The Reds forwards overall do typically give away 30 kgs or more according to game stats. Hanson is a fairly light hooker just over 100 kgs, and the Reds backrow of Gill (apparently not even 100 kgs), Jake Schatz (under 105 kgs), and Adam Thomson (about 110 kgs) give away 30 kgs+ to some...

Reds V Chiefs Round 17 Sat 6th June

Reds support play on attack is just horrible. It's not that they can't find space, it's just that they are incapable of doing anything with it. Plenty of wide Cooper passes gave his guys oodles of space and time to work with and all they could do was a big fat nothing. That and lack of an...
