    Fantasy Tri-Nations Tournament

I'd pay to see that tri nations. Great to see Grobbelar in the 'Springbok team'.

    Rene Ranger

I can see you are trying to be the moderate voice here, but trotting out the 'he did it tough' line doesn't wash with me - the courts will decide on his guilt or otherwise, and he won't have a choice when it comes to punishment. If he does become a fine role model, I'll be with you in...

Suggest a new coach for the Waratahs here

I'm all ears - tell us about your coaching style/philosophy, what would you do first? Yes, Melrose was the backs coach a few years back...he managed to get the best from players like Beale (both at the Tahs and Rams), which gives me some hope.

    Lote

I am not missing him at all. He had a few good games way back when, but he was very poor for the Waratahs last season in the most important area for a winger - finishing.

Suggest a new coach for the Waratahs here

There are a few I'd be happy to see the back of, but that isn't the main attraction. I like the style of play he encouraged with the Western Rams, and also the way he got the most out of his players. Is he known as a coach who drives players away?

Suggest a new coach for the Waratahs here

Although the current coach is contracted until the end of 2011(?!), does anyone have any suggestions for a replacement? Does anyone know what Brian Melrose is doing? I'd like to see him get a crack at it.

    Tahs v Force

For the last turnover, Hodgson was the ball carrier who was penalised.

    Tahs v Force

So do you think he is the best player the Waratahs have for the fullback position? In many ways he fits perfectly into what appears to be the style of play Hickey wants for the Tahs: conservative and pedestrian. My main problem with him is not so much that he made no 'full' breaks against the...

    Super 14 By Nation

Even with the Rebels on zero points next season we'd still have 14.8 points...another example of how misleading statistics can be I guess.

    Wallaby Squad Predictions 2010!

He is injured. He has not been playing. Would you really pick an injured Pocock in ahead of one of the other candidates? I guess you could go with the argument that he'll be going great guns by the end of the season...so I'm interested to know if you are picking a team based on form or history...

    Wallaby 6,7,8

Palu being injured is bad news for the Waratahs (see last Saturday), and would be bad news for the Wallabies. I am no big fan of Brown, but I could see him in the number 8 position if there was sufficient bulk in the rest of the pack to compensate. If Mumm was not already playing in the second...

    Tahs v Force

Those are some pretty strong words there. Whilst I think Beale's defence has been a bit suspect (not that he has had many tackles to make lately), I definitely would not put it down to him being a coward (BTW is it possible to be a non-gutless coward?). Spot on. If there is a better player at...

Tahs player of the match v Force

    3. TPN (despite the line out throwing he was by far the best for the Tahs) 2. Mitchell (showed some real guts throughout) 1. Waugh (despite his tactical decisions, he put himself about very well) Halangahu did well too

    Tahs v Force

Anyway, the game itself: what a pile of crap I wonder what excuses we'll here from the Waratahs this time?....Palu was injured, so there was only TPN running the ball with any effect? Baxter was injured so there was no one else to get stuck in at the breakdown? We are still waiting for the...

    Tahs v Force

He played his position very well, and came up with a few very important turn overs (he does plenty of tackling and is at the breakdown most of the time). His tactical decisions during the match did not impress me (when to kick for penalty goals etc). I don't know who dictates the Tahs' style...

    Palmer Gooone - Douglas Stays

Yeah, it is not like you can shuffle forwards around the way you can the backs - especially not in the front row. It looks like a few people think it is a good move for Palmer. Either because the Brumbies front row and coaching is stronger than the Tahs, so he will improve OR because the...

    Palmer Gooone - Douglas Stays

I am not suggesting that the Brumbies don't have a history of good props - but their current front row is not better than the Waratahs front row, nor more experienced or successful (nor is their scrum coach). The Waratahs have had a few decent props over he years too, although I'm not so sure...
