Anyone see his try for Wests this arvo? It was about a 60m run and he showed some pace that I didn't think he had anymore.

I still think it's a shame that he isn't playing rugby in the Super 14 anymore, or for the Wallabies. I would definitely pick him on one of the wings along with Mitchell.

...Carry on.

He was all class last week after the game when the fox commentator tried to get him to do some yawnion bashing. I'm sure the tahs are missing him this year, but I bet he's watched them and ain't missing it a bit.

A few commentators have had a go at getting him to have a go at rugby but he won't bite.

thats coz i think he genuinely enjoyed Rugby more than mungoball, not to mention i think his dad played for fiji(not sure though) and he invites the tahs players to the mungoball games.

The verdict from the Leicester Tigers fans is that he was a model professional and valuable recruitment for them during his stint. Had a bit of a slow start apparently but was really showing some class by the end. They're sorry to see him go.

I've never been a huge Lote fan, thought he was very over rated but did see that post match interview & thought he showed alot of class not dogging Union.

His style play suits league anyway..........good luck to Lote in the NRL. :tuqiri:

I am not missing him at all.

He had a few good games way back when, but he was very poor for the Waratahs last season in the most important area for a winger - finishing.

Lee Grant

John Eales (66)
He wouldn't have got any good ball this year anyway except in the party game - and got bugger all last year.

He looked good for Leicester in the games I saw except for the first one.

I wish him well.

This is the Rugby Discussion Forum. Shouldn't any talk about Tuqiri be in 'Everything Else'?

My best was one of the boofhead cvommentators claiming he would never have received a pass like that in rugby when he scored that first try. Well not at the Tahs anyway....

God they are an insecure bunch the league lot.

They beat the world champion Springboks in that game, how bad was he?

ive heard the club though were happy to see the back of him for some reason, he was released early from his contract to play in the opening round while the leicester season was still going for a reason and it aint cos the tigers were paying him out.

No, because they were out of the HC and only had a few club games remaining.

I'd love to know your source who said 'they were happy to see the back of him'... or is that your own summary of the situation?

The third string Springbok development insanely arse about face selected "team", but yes, they were in Bok jerseys and that's the way it will be written into the history books.

Lote hardly touched the ball in that game and had no impact.

PS. It's okay, we can really stop talking about Lote now.

Fact is Lote was bought in on a short contract to replace Geordan Murphy while he recovered from a shoulder reconstruction. Geordie came back with a bang and started performing immediately. It was a professional kindness to release Lote early I believe.

Rothfield and Ritchie should watch some clips of the games he played for us: his workrate has been very good, in attack and defence, and he has been unselfish in attack.

I was pleased to be right in front of him when he scored a cracker against Bath a few weeks ago, and his service to Hamilton for the try against LI on Saturday was sublime.

We're a miserable, curmudgeonly lot, we Tigers fans, yet there are few with bad words to say about Tuqiri.

That was my understanding also.

I really should read more news ltd. papers... err maybe not.

im working for fox at the moment, im not reading papers, but please continue to mock me, your "opinion" has to be worth more than mine.

and blue, do you quote the scraf as fact?

lote and his agent tried to find an english club for him to stay at, they tried to find a french club, they tried and tried to find a big money contract, they got nothing but a press release from the tigers nicely worded. fan favourate but had learnt nothing from being axed from australia was what was going around fox HQ

When you have some of the opinions you do.. e.g. (off the top of my head) you would prefer to see Sheehan playing for the Wallabies in front of Genia there may be some gentle mocking. Nothing personal, mind.

By the way, you haven't been sneaking TC some fantasy team points over at Fox have you??
