I've moved these posts out of the Lote topic as I thought the tangent was interesting enough to have it's own thread.

nah didnt register for fantasy this year, but tommy must be worth some points, got over the try line a few times. been ont he winning side alot
TC is the 5th most productive inside back this year, scoring 16, 12, 20, 41 and 43 points. Ahead of him are Doppies, Morne, Olivier, Cooper and Carter, however they're all double the price of TC. Only A Finger and Hangers compare for value.

Should Robbie D select the Wallabies on fantasy rugby rankings?

I'd happily watch that team play.

Maybe Fox should pony up the cash to have a fantasy tri nations tournament.

Interesting, there's 5 australians in the top 10 props!

Alexander, Baxter, Robinson, Ma'afu and Daley. Guess our pigs have always been pretty mobile..

Well, the fantasy wallabies would obviously need someone to play, so I've put these teams together.. the first 15 are named based on the position they played in weeks 5/6, the bench I've tried to use a best guess as to who can cover positions...

I'm quite open to changing the team if someone can justify where I've made a mistake (ie need bench props who play both sides, saffas swap 6/7 gets confusing!). What's Lionel Mapoe like as a utility back?

Even better to see Earl Rose at 15, he'd make Francoius Steyn look the safe option!

You have Mtawarira running on and on the bench for the 'Boks
Janse van Rensburg is the next best 'Boks prop.

Thanks Matty,
Janse is listed as a loosehead, do the Boks have tighthead cover between him and the Beast?

Lets take this one step further. Team of the S14...
Points in brackets.

1. Ben Alexander 130
2. Tatafu Polota-Nau 210
3. Brok Harris 100
4. Andries Bekker 147
5. Dean Mumm 107

19. Adam Thomson 134
20. Will Genia 118
21. Quade Cooper 174
22. Sitiveni Sivivatu 144

Tried to pick players in their positions where foxsports has it wrong, Ben Smith in for Ranger who is listed as an outside back for example... and Olivier should be able to play 13 no problem...

6 Aussies in the starting side
6 Saffas
2 Kiwis

3 Aussies on the bench
1 Saffa
3 Kiwis

Not a bad showing I rekon...
Just realised this is fairly useless as its basically the dream team but anyway...

Just using these scores it would come down to the wire between the Springboks and the Wallabies depending on how well the Wallabies used their bench.
That's how I read it anyway.

I still find it amazing that Burgo is on more points than Genia. Sure there is not much in it but still

Good point. So that should sort itself out in the next few weeks.

I am actually interested to see how this plays out over the season.

Genia has had a bye, in points per game Will is 23.6 to Luke's 20

i noticed a few places where taking byes and injury time into account would have made a difference. sharpe would be starting i think as would sanchez. horwill would have gotten in if he continued his form instead of blowing up his knee. pocock or hodgo would get a go over hoiles. gits and ant fingers would be back in the frame with hangers and TC out i believe. etc, etc, etc.

maybe i should do a fantasy wallaby team of the week in the fantasy writeup? or would it get stale?
